Guest guest
, IM sorry to read m is still struggling with this flare. Did the docs put her on more prednisone once she finished the "6 pack"??? It would be so helpful if the numbers from labs were more exact, sometimes it makes you wonder if they really are worth doing at all. Nicks regular labs for his usual 3 mth rhuemy visits cost $1083. I mean , are they really worth that much money in deciding how sick someone is when you cant really take them at their face value. m is in her worse flare ever and sounds really sick, yet her sed is 22 and CRP is 3.3. Nick who, while in a flare doesnt sound as sick as m yet his labs were sed 45 and CRP 8.11. its all a bit of a crap shoot really. Anyhows, i hope and pray m starts to turn the corner with this soon. Hows it going with the tutor, does she even feel well enough to worry about school work?? hugs to you both, Helen, mom to (6,systemic) Hugs..Helen DH Dan DS's (20)(14)(12)Zachary(9)(6) DD (4)>From: "WILLIAM PRICE" >Reply- >>Subject: aundrea >Date: Thu, 12 Feb 2004 12:01:23 -0800 > >, Sorry to hear that she is still feeling bad. Be careful on the labs, for n's are never that bad. We go by how she feels. Some kids get really high sed rates and then you can get hung up on the numbers. n's lab was 22 for sed rate, and 3.3 for crp. She is in the worst flare ever, so her numbers don't indicate too much. I don't care if her sed rate was 3, if she was doing bad I would be concerned. >, aleve is naprosyn, but you only have to give it every 12 hours. Aleve is over the counter, but has to be given more often. So the doctors will write a script for naprosyn for then it is covered by insurance and it means less pills for the little ones. >I hope your daughter improves soon, (n, 15, systemic) Optimize your Internet experience to the max with the new MSN Premium Internet Software. Guest guest
Hi : You are most welcome:) I am glad to hear (and I must say proud) that you took the high road and left the 'idiots' beneath you. Perhaps the article will open their eyes and bring them a new understanding of what Aundrea and you go through. Educating is always a win win situation. Did you have to take Aundrea in with you today? Is she at all better? I sure hope she is feeling some relief. I am wishing February away for her. Come on March! Funny, I also tell my mother often about this wonderful group of people. I always feel if I have a question, concern, good news to share that I have to post here, as well as, call mom:) See, I even made your mom laugh - grin:) Take care. Guest guest
Hi : Thank God for moms eh:) I think every parent does or will question many decisions that have or will be made on behalf of their child. That should be next to parent in the dictionary! I am glad Aundrea got to go back to school Friday. Sounded like the perfect type of day for her to go back. I bet she had a blast at her friend's house. Caitlin keeps begging me to spend the night at her best friend's house, but, honestly, it seems like someone is always sick over there and I often wonder if that's where the strep came from, although I know she could have picked it up anywhere. I hope the joint pain stays away. I know what you mean about the soon to be 12 year old LOL. I have one going to high school this September YIKES!!!!!!!! We will form a support group for that too:) Take care. Patty
