Guest guest
Hi , I'm glad Aundrea had a nice time. That's great that she's been able to get all caught up already, on her missed assignments. Josh, too. Sorry to hear that the ibuprofen hasn't been able to stop the joint pain completely. Sometimes NSAIDs alone are strong enough to fight the symptoms of this disease. Unfortunately, sometimes they're not. Have you noticed that the heat from a bath can make the rash worse? We saw that with Josh. We would never even consider, before, using a heating pad on his sore joints ... like we are sometimes able to do now. You could actually feel the heat coming from his sore areas. His fevers were really bad back then, so we mostly used wrapped ice packs and focussed on keeping him cool. I love your idea about using the paper link chain for counting down. Good to choose something that helps the children be able to visualize it more easily than a calendar. Have a great rest of the weekend, Georgina sonia dykhuizen wrote: > Hi Georgina, > > Aundrea did enjoy her valentines party and since it was a laid back day > she was able to get caught up on all her homework that she had from > when she missed school. > > She had pretty good days fri and sat. Guest guest
Hi , I am so sorry to hear about those folks at your job complaining about the arrangements you've got in place for Aundrea. Like you really needed something else to have to worry about, right now! I feel so badly, that she's still having symptoms daily. A child in pain has got to be one of the hardest things we as parents face. We're counting down the days with you, until your daughter gets seen by the rheumatologist. I hope everything will fall into place better, once she has a doctor to work with. I'm glad you found the article on psoriatic arthritis helpful. At least as far as maybe having something else to ask about, for further clarification. Josh is doing good right now. Thanks for asking about him. It used to be so different, with so many bad days one after the other that I never really thought we could expect such an improvement. His JRA symptoms were so persistent in the beginning, long after the first 6 months. I understand how comforting it will be for you and your husband, when your is better. Hopefully it's just a matter of time so keep positive, okay?
