Guest guest Posted February 6, 2004 Report Share Posted February 6, 2004 Holly rarely gets dialated as well, she just went on wednesday this week and had a wonderful exam, and he said see you in 4-6 months. Holly has never had eye involvement. Typically, and believe me Holly rarely follows the typical path, systemic kids don't have any eye issues. But I know systemic kids do get it as well........its just so hard to know "the right way" things are so different with every person, and every doctor does things differently, just to confuse us i think!!!! Guest guest Posted February 6, 2004 Report Share Posted February 6, 2004 Hi , , about dilating a child's eyes when they test for uveitis (or iritis?). Don't know if it helps, but Ottilie goes through quite a different process, here in England. She has monthly checks for uveitis: no dilation, slit lamp examination, various other physical checks and measuring pressure with a puffer machine thing (don't know its name). Maybe not as thorough? Can't comment. Only say that they manage somehow to make the experience interesting for Ottilie (now 3 and a quarter).
