Guest guest
Hi , Holly just had a ph probe done on the 22nd of december, its really nothing, but the nurses said she couldn't go to school, but her docs said because they know me so well, and we have been through so much together, they would let me bring her to school, so basically she hopped off the table after being anesthetised for the endoscopy/bronchoscopy/insertion of the ph probe, and went to school. So i guess its ultimatley up to your doc. The tube is taped under your nose, kinda like a mustache, and then again on your cheek and neck. The tube then goes to a little box strapped around your waist, in Hollys case she wore a jumper and put the box in a big front pocket, she hates anything around her waist. Her ph probe had to different monitors, one up near her throat, she refluxed that far 66 times, and then the other down just over the stomach opening, and there she refluxed 373 times.......most of her refluxing was done during upright awake hours, not when she was sleeping. Hence this is why holly is facing surgery, most likely in April, she has 2 more tests first then we meet with the surgeon on the 24th i think it is. If you have any more questions, ask away, we have been through this several times with little miss hollyberry!!! Luv and hugs, Aj
Guest guest
Hi AJ, Wow! Your Holly has been through so much already, in her few short years. What a very brave and determined child she is, with such a great attitude and positive outlook on life. You must be so proud of her. Well, we are too.
