Guest guest
Dear , n has taken a turn for the worse this last week. She had finals for the first time in her life, and she was quite stressed. I thought she would do better when they were over. She caught a cold, and it seems to have put her in a full flare. We are going to give it one more day, and then call the rheumy tomorrow. She is stuck in the lazyboy. Everything hurts her, she has the rash, and the sore throat. No swelling, but her right wrist is pretty tender, and no appetite. She hasn't had a flare like this for several years. I guess it is back to steroids again. It has been two years since the steroids. I might ask the rheumy about mtx. n has only been on naprosyn and plaquenil. How I hate this disease. (n, 15, systemic)
Guest guest
Hi , n will be in our thoughts. I do hope that this flare subsides quickly. Even if it takes a burst of prednisone to make that happen, so be it. Just so long as she is able to recover quickly and get back on track. How awful, though, that she was feeling so poorly and still had to take her final exams. You can't be expected to perform as well as you normally would, in those kinds of circumstances. Then again, just the added stress of thinking about and then preparing for the tests may have played a role in her symptoms reappearing when they did. I hope she'll feel better soon. Send our love. Guest guest
YEAH!!! How wonderful! Glad to hear that she is home and I hope she continues on the path to recovery swiftly. We'll keep up the praying, Michele n n came home from the hospital yesterday after a 13 day stay. She is on cyclosporine, prednisone, zantac, methadone for another day, and blood pressure medicine. She is extremely weak and tired, and 20 pounds lighter. It is great to have her home. She is eating home-cooking, and resting in her own bed undisturbed. Thank you for all of your prayers. Guest guest
, I am glad you now have your daughter home with you. I hope you are doing well also. With all you have dealt with having a very sick child in the hospital and other children as well it is so easy to find youself exhausted. I pray that you will be able to get your energy back right along with n. Your family will stay in our prayers. Veri & Jaye
