Guest guest
Hi , Until the meantime switch to Ibuprofin,Advil or Motrin.Tylenol is an antipyretic and pain reducer but NOT a antiinflamitory but don't do if your child already takes an NSAID. didn't have much luck with them. The first ankle injection lasted about a month or until the steroids were droped 6 mg.We immediately scheduled another and he was put in a hard cast for 2 weeks followed by a 6 week taper of an orthotic boot.He started Enbrel as soon as the cast came off and had a miraculous responce.Never will know how the results would have been if not for the Enbrel. had Depo Medrol but have heard wonderful things about Aristopan. One mom posted a month or so ago that it was back on the market but just recently a mom claimed it wasn't.I believe that the key to sucess is limited amount of motion to the injected joint for atleast 2 weeks. Most say 48hrs but it can take as long as 2 weeks for the injection to work. Our ortho at Vanderbilt is top notch and not just pediatric. He works on severe spine trauma patients and is awesome.Good Luck! Becki and 5 systemic PS)The ortho claimed had Pauci JRA with a refractory lft ankle. So while a great ortho he is far from perfect.

Guest guest
Helen - Yes, I tried that, but she won't let us put that on her. Right now we take lots and lots of baths! I can't wait for Thursday to come. Yes, we live in Eagan. That's is funny that you lived down here. Ham Lake is up north right? Near Forest Lake or am I way off? We see Dr. Akin at Gillette Children's in St. . How about you? We are snow bound today. I didn't go to work because I couldn't get out of my street! Ugh! Oh well.
