Guest guest
Hi Tammy, s last systemic flair was April of last year and I'll never forget it.He had been having a really hard time with the pred taper so I knew it was comming. He woke up one morning and when I pulled his covers off the insides of his thighs were bright red.I immediately called the rheumy and had his MTX maxed out.Too little too late.We were at our neighbors house and he was playing fine one minuite and the next creeping on his belly pulling himself with his forearms. His ankles and knees were swollen his elbows were contracted and his right hand was stuck in a claw position. It's time to make that dreaded call to the rheumy and let them know what is going on.The rash for us was always a big tell tell sighn of things to get much worse. The rheumy never believed me but the rash followed the affected joints. If he woke up with rash behind his knees or on his elbows sure enough major problems with those joints.Poor Gabby is already on adult doses of Enbrel at 5 yrs old.I don't know what they might do to help her.Our experiance has been that nothing helps other then the dreaded steroids.Good luck and many prayers to you and Gab's. Guest guest
Hi Tammy, How heart breaking about what Gabby said.Hopefully the extra dose of Enbrel will help her snap out of it until spring and you can look at another option. It sounds like you have a great rheumy who is very aggressive. Love Becki
