Guest guest
Hi gang, we just got back from Vanderbilt and the appointment went great. has been taken off the Ibuprofin and the MTX was tapered from 25mg to 20mg.We go back in two months to continue the taper. The rheumy wrote in his computer that was completely well.I wish that was true but I guess he just meant it's been 6 months without a hint of anything.I hope everyone is doing well. Cut the pill in half? What was the Enbrel study? Hi Patty, I just meant that he has to go down to 2.5mg until discontinuing.I have never heard of anyone else doing that. The Enbrel study is a 3 yr safety study to find out what the side effects are for long term use. From Dec01 through Nov02 no new patiants could get it.'s rheumy really wanted him on it but we couldn't get it,so we made the 6 hr trip to Cincinnati Childrens Hospital after being accepted in the study. At first it was every 3 months but now it's only 2 times a yr so not to bad. This was the only way to get the drug. Guest guest
Hi Diane, Since being on this list the only ones I have read about MTX tapers were and Riley. Both girls were on 5mg and just assumed that was the end.Other then the first drop from 25mg to 20mg it's been 2.5mg every 2 months. It's kind of neat,my b-day is Sat July 17,that is the last dose of MTX.s b-day is Sat July 24 his first Sat without it.It may not seem like a b-day gift to him but does to me. Love and Hugs Becki and 5 systemic PS)I hope you get great news at 's next optho appointment.
