,

My daughter is on Remicaide and has had numerous infections, both strep and sinus. She has been on antibiotics all but 2 weeks since before Christmas. We are not really sure what will happen, but we do want to wait until winter is definitely over before placing the blame on Remicaide.

Hi Christy

My name is and my daughter has Jra. We used to live in Norway. The doctors there wanted Jackie on Remicade but we felt we finaly had her Jra under conroll without the flear ups. We turned the offer from the doctor down and said we might consider it if she gets worse.

Well, to make a long story shorter, the doctor sued us for not wanting to give her Remicade. We are worried about the side effects. We went through 4 days of trial and the outcome was that we need to have an rheumy see her and then do whatever that doctor says except giving her Remicade. They would probably offer Embrel next time but we don't want that either as long as she is doing better.

IF you or anyone else has something to tell us about the sideeffects of Remicade or Embrel it would help us. We apealed and are in for another 5 days in court in September. This is all about money (the doctor being paid per patient that he gets on each drug) versus what we are doing for her which there is no patent on so no one can make money on it. Also I know that drugs are the main treatment that doctors have available and the thing they now to help from experience.

We think that wathever helps a patient has to be the best no matter what it is and as long as the patient is improving.

Please writhe me back whoever has some good OR bad experience with Remicade or Embrel. Our daughter is of all drugs now and has been for 2 years. She has been sick for 3 1/2 so I think we are doing well.

May best to all of you out there that doesn't know which fot to stand on when it comes down to what is best for our kids. Go with your intuition, that got us far.

Hi ,

We've been using Remicade since July 2002 in conjunction with MTX etc. My son was practically in a medicated remission until a few weeks ago when he contracted chicken pox. He is now recovering from that but in my opinion Remicade is a wonder drug and we have noticed no side-effects whatsoever so far.

Hope this helps.
