Oh Tree, my RA, is very very very mild, nothing like what you guys have gone thru/are going thru. Mostly in my hands. Gift from my mama, she started with it in her 40's too...oops, told my age. Celebrex wasn't getting it so my internist sent me on to Stern. They are talking about Plaquenil? But we will find out on Wed. My hands have been hurting for a few years on and off, but got a lot worse this past fall (stress?) anyway...

...you better behave yourself and leave those goodies alone!! Maybe we will have to buy him a treat, Tree, storage fee for housing the donations????

Hoping to see you on the 9th too! Love, and Rob 13 JAS

LOL , That is too cool! Tell Ceil I said hi when you see her I don't have another appointment until April. I so miss Dr. Wheeler I went with Dr Sutcamp for my new interist who's ofice is just across the hall from Community Medical Associates. They have a NP but theirs is off because of some surgery and that has been at least six months now I hope they get one back LOL I surely didn't realize that you had RA as well. That's what I get for just skimming thru emails LOL but when ther's a hundred I haven't the time or energy to read them all. Let me know how your appointment and test go and oh I talked with donald and he told me of the things that you got donated (((You GO Girl)))) Also I think we may have to put them in a lock box next time lol has been drooling over them lol Thanks for all your help :) I'll be see you guys on the 9th I hope ??? :):):):)Tree:):):):):):)

Warm showers / baths

I've seen many messages here recommending warm showers or baths to ease morning stiffness. This is new to me since we don't do that. Our rheumys don't recommend heat threapy of any kind when arthritis is active (during flare). And morning stiffness usually appears during flare. We use cold-packs instead, before going to bed on the joint that are most sore, and some anti-inflammatory drug taken in the evening (one with at least 12-hour impact). The reason why warmth is considered not good is that it's important to keep the temp in the joint as low as possible. Warmth activates the inflammation and makes the synoviamembrane more fragile.I'm interested in what you've been told about this.SoiliTo leave this mailing list, send request to: -unsubscribe

, I so glad to hear that your RA is mild but I still think it's so much harder to develope it in late life and loss the mobility that you've always been accustomed too. I took plaquenil but became allergic to it as I have alot of the drugs...I know it really helps alot of people so I hope it'll work for you. Ever try a parafin bath for your hands ? I used to use one everyday before work and after when I worked at Louisville Stoneware..I even took it to work with me for a few months LOL I was there so much because of overtime, me and some of the other artist started moving things in for comfort LOL Sort of like a home away from home LOL STRESS geez what a nasty word...I tell you that stuff will make me flare faster than anything else. It's just so easy to avoid when your a mother too LOL LOL has been eyeballing the umbrella and the tote and maybe a few other things too LOL He called me the other nite and made me think for at least 5 minutes that someone at my house had called him and he was simplely returning the call LOL He had me goin but i've been sick so I was vulnerable lol Take care and ((((ROB))))) :):):)Tree:):):):) Warm showers / baths I've seen many messages here recommending warm showers or baths to ease morning stiffness. Hello

Hello, This Pat again. I replied about your Depression Message.I am not sure if you seen that I am a new member and read my Hello Message. Anyways, I have been exploring this group/site like mad trying to learn how to manuvure around on it aswell as learn about other members. I see that you are from Louisville and that you are informed of whats going on in the arthritis world and that you have been involved in activities and/or events. Well I too am in Louisville and want to be involved and aware of things going on. But do not know where to start, I did try to join the arthritis foundation but everytime I turned around they are sending me info on donating money. Do not get me wrong if I have extra I do donate to several charities but I wanted to know about the arthritis itself who knows maybe they put me on the wrong mailing list.Do you, will you, can you help me get started????Thanks.
