Based on what other people I agree with what you're saying to CJ, and this might sound harsh, but sometimes people really have to learn the hard way. After seeing all of the information on this site and others, including an extensive list of celebrities whose careers depend heavily on their appearance who have had to be explanted, it should seem crystal clear that implants are dangerous. One can try to rationalize their way into just about anything if they really want to do it badly enough, and sadly it seems like that is the course she is on. I doubt there is anything anyone can say that will convince her that the ill effects will happen to her. It's just like we never thought we would become ill from implants and no one ever thinks they will be the one to get cancer or other diseases. > > tell me I am a very attractive person -I have a nice figure-my > > breasts are probably an A to small B. Guest guest
I had posted this last night but see that I didn't post it in the right spot so it wasn't seen. I see this is exactly what CJ has decided. Here is the post- I had it under Desire For Implants. Guest guest
So true! Like teenagers who think they are invinceable, right? "That'll never happen to me. That kind of stuff only happens to other people." I always thought I'd be 20-something forever. I used to think, "Gee, how old will I be in the year 2000? Wow, 34. Heck, that'll never happen. I could never be THAT old." A-dah! We did our part. She has been "Informed." (Sure wish I had been.) Now we'll let her go and do it And when she comes back here to us because she needs help, I, as well as all the others, will welcome her with love and support, right! ----- Original Message ----- From: lena_beck2004 Sent: Sunday, July 13, 2003 5:46 PM Subject: Re: Desire for Implants I had posted this last night but see that I didn't post it in the right spot so it wasn't seen. Guest guest
By the way............ CJ has overlooked one thing. Her mom did not escape problems from implants. She stated that one of her mom's breasts got an infection 6-months post-op and they had to remove the implant but she was able to keep the other implant. Am I the only one who caught that? ----- Original Message ----- From: lena_beck2004 Sent: Sunday, July 13, 2003 5:46 PM Subject: Re: Desire for Implants I had posted this last night but see that I didn't post it in the right spot so it wasn't seen. Guest guest
Good point Depo. The funny thing about some people that want implants who hear about our problems seem to think explantees want to deprive others of some great experience or we're bitter hypochondriacs. I am now of the opinion that implanted breasts are very unattractive and I certainly pity anyone with them. The people with bodies I admire the most are actually smaller chested. Woohoo! > > > > Thank you to all of the ladies that have responded already. > It > > is > > > > amazing to be able to have this support and direct information > > from > > > > real people-not from brochures or studies that are paid for by > > the > > > > same people that have a particular interest in the result!! > > > > > > > > I think I really am starting to change my mind but in a way > > there > > > > is a sense of sadness.
