Guest guest
Well, I'm a " salt waster " and NEED salt (low aldosterone). Using potassium chloride or eating high potassium foods makes me very ill. So I do the exact opposite of what Duncan does. I salt my food heavily, and drink salt water besides. I have low blood pressure in spite of my salt intake, which is mainly quickly excreted, as I just can't hold onto sodium. Also in spite of my salt intake, my blood sodium level is always low. NOTHING works for everyone! And low salt diet and extra potassium is just not right for me. sol Bonnie Cole wrote: > Thanks Duncan, I've seen this name mentioned before. Guest guest
Thanks Duncan, I've seen this name mentioned before. So you're saying that none of us should use any kind of Salt then? Bonnie Re: Himalayan Salt Bonnie, the sodium in salt including Himalayan and Celtic can promote rhabdomyolysis especially when potassium intake is low. This is a sometimes fatal wasting disorder (think cardiac arrest, kidney failure); wasting of healthy tissues is something you don't need Duncan > > Hello: > > Someone on this List sent in a Post a few weeks ago STATING that Himalayan Salt did not cause water retention or high blood pressure as do OTHER SALTS. > > Is that true? > > Thanks, > Bonnie > >

Guest guest
Ok, I have that link as well, thanks.... Both himalayan and celtic sea salt are unrefined salts, which contain the 80-plus minerals and elements we need in our body. You can read a short article with links about it here: http://blimey.dreamwidth.org/4301.html > What is the celtic salt good for by the way? > > > Margaret
