I looked into Ellis's work years ago, but you had to buy on faith. He

did a verbal blurb, but not much more. He built each unit as it was ordered

and no warantee and needed to be prepaid. Has the methods changed at all?

water purification

So who has heard of the Living Water Machine created by Olympic Athlete

Ellis at johnellis.com? Does it function like it says it does?

I have a well in the country and hard water comes from it, as does farming

chemicals, pollutants and so fourth... I am looking into investing into a

water purification/ionization system. Does anyone have any suggestions?

How do you get your hydration?

Sorry, I have never heard of the Ellis system...But one of our very own,

Jeff Grotte, sells copper ionization water purification systems (EcoSmarte). He

is building a swimming pool for me right now that will use that instead of

chlorine. I'm just waiting to see how it works, and plan to convert my home to

it

as well. I mentioned before, that I will then have a large reverse osmosis

system available. If you want to look into the EcoSmarte, check out his

website at poolguy.com or call him at 763/595-8111.

I stongly recommend considering an ozone system along with or instead of

that system. Ozone is used in all the Olympic Training pools and the

Olympics itself.

Ozone was first used in the Olymics in Korea. More World records in

swimming were set in that Olympics than any other. Chlorine gas is

heavier than air and accumulates just above the surface of the water

where the swimmers breathe. Guess what breathing chlorine gas does to

your swimming times?

Usually copper and silver ions are used in systems like you are

considering.

I use reverse osmosis water for drinking that I buy for 39 cents a

gallon at Cub or Rainbow Supermarkets. I energize the water using Prill

Beads and Cosmic Energy Stones. I add a pure water additive to my

drinking water that contains 24.5 million frequencies.

I get my minerals from raw veggies, seaweed, and above sea Coral

Calcium. I do not buy expensive Organic Produce. I soak my fruits and

veggies in water and Miracle II Neutralizer. Tomatoes last for weeks at

room temperature afterwards.

I have a showerhead filter that I use to take showers and baths.

Adding a squirt of Miracle II Neutralizer to a glass of water or other

liquid neutralizes the negative effect of anything that might be in the

water.

One of the best ways to hydrate your body is to take a hot 40 minute

bath with 2 cups of Epsom Salts (magnesium sulphate). Go to;

www.mgwater.com

to see why. I also use Miracle II Soap and Neutralizer in my foot soaks

and baths.

Hi ,

We have used a " Living Waters, Water Treatment Technology "

purification system for years, but this system was developed by Lono

Ho'ala, author of one of the books on Water: Don't Drink the

Water

http://btobsearch.barnesandnoble.com/booksearch/isbnInquiry.asp?btob=Y & endeca=1 & \

isbn=096288829X & itm=4.

The product is still recommended by Dr. Weil.

Our dual filter purification system has been used with well water on

the mountainside in Spokane Wa, outside Appleton WI (also a farm

area), and in Nashua NH (which sits on solid granite, and where water

can rattle against your teeth), and now, here, with Rochester's

chlorinated city water.

We are long-time tea drinkers, and brew tea daily. Hard or

chlorinated water makes lousy tea, but this filtered water makes

beautiful tea - even with a water softener (we use potassium salts).

For a catalog, call Conscious Living Systems, Inc, toll-free

888-524-8627. These are Hawaiian people and are very friendly and

helpful. (I am just a loyal customer - nothing else.) They can help

you decide which system would work best for you. We have an

under-counter system - UC2 - which is a 4-stage system using solid

carbon block and ceramic KDF filters. We have replaced the filters

only once or twice over the years.

This is very interesting. I have used SSKI for years on the advice of an MD who prescribed it as an excellent way to keep the chronic congestion in my lungs from becoming cement-like. We have found that it does indeed do that job very well. ~~Ruth

water purification

Hello dear group, There is a simple, inexpensive way to purify water when travelling; my daughter and I used it when we travelled to Egypt, and we had no problems at all, even though we are vegan (I am raw) and eat fresh fruits and veggies by the ton, complete with their peels. It is called SSKI, saturated solution of potassium iodide. We put a few drops of SSKI in our water before boarding any airplane; it inhibits germs, viruses, bacteria, fungi so no infection can occur. We mainly use it for purifying water at our destination, but also for GI upsets. It should not be used long-term, or if one has an iodine allergy. I bought it from the Tahoma Clinic Dispensary, Dr. 's clinic; call 1-888-893-6878 if you are interested. A 1 oz travel bottle, which we are still using two years later, and which easily fits in those horrible one quart plastic bags the airlines now require, cost me under $30 including shipping. (BTW, I have no connection with this clinic; I am just forwarding good information for anyone who is concerned about water safely.)Keep well, Sholtz, Ph.D, RSHom(NA), CCH *Registrar, North American Society of Homeopaths

Hi Bee,

Last year, in my research of water systems I was talking to Radiant Life (Weston

Price) and a guy was telling me about all the pharmeceuticals that are in

our water today, of course there is flouride and chlorine, heavy metals, etc. He

especially emphasized the amine drugs and other pharmeceuticals.

I use RO and am concerned about the mineral loss but also concerned about the

drugs/chemicals/heavy metals in the water that Brita won't remove.

I'm unsure what to do. Radiant Life sells a very expensive system that is

suppose to clean and restructure the water.

Bee, what about these drugs, chemicals, heavy metals. There are hundreds of them

and new ones being dumped into our water every day.

Thanks Bee,

Cassandra

It's very easy to use, doesn't take forever to purify the water, and the cost is

not prohibitive. The black filters are supposed to last for 6,000 gallons; the

white ones (for arsenic/fluoride) for 1,000 gallons. Explore the web site to see

all of the contaminants they are said to remove.

I've had my unit only for a month, but since I discovered the Berkey filtration

units, I've had numerous other people tell me that they recommend them. With

these high recommendations, including from people I know, I'm going on " trust "

that the claims are valid.

When the filtering/purifying process slows, they say to wash the filters with a

scrubbie. To check if they are still purifying, add some red food coloring to

the water to be purified. If the water is clear after going through the filters,

the filters are still working.

No, I haven't had my water tested before or after. I live in the country of

Panama where it would be difficult to impossible to do.

Dottie

> >...I recently bought one of these units and I love it! It removes the

contaminants without removing the natural minerals. The " black Berkey " filters

remove almost everything but there are separate kinds of filters for removal of

fluoride and arsenic. I'm using both kinds of filters.

'love' about this system?

Bee,

I looks like Brita has a filter that fits on the faucet somehow. Can we use it

or do we need to use the pitcher type filtering system.

Thank you for responding to my questions.

+++Hi Cassandra,

Any kind of Britta filter system is okay. It doesn't have to be the pitcher.

I have had experience with a Britta pitcher. The water poured into it just flows

over the edge of it! Just use the filter that attaches onto the spout! Good

luck. Judy

+++Hi Judy,

My Britta pitchers don't flow water over the edge of the filter. The water

takes time to go through, and it definitely goes through the filter, not around

it.

That's why you have to soak the filter for 15 minutes first, and then run a

couple of pitchers of water through it so it gets rid of charcoal residues.
