sea salt diuretic effect

Hi Bee and group,

I was just reading the oral baking soda post, and I noticed that salt, including

ocean sea salt, is the first thing to avoid due to its diuretic effect. I have

noticed that after I have salt I pee very frequently. Shouldn't we avoid it

then?

Thank you,

kelly

+++Hi ,

Ocean sea salt is just like your salty tears, and it provides over 84 minerals

along with sodium + chloride (salt) which are 2 of the macrominerals your body

needs in higher amounts like calcium, magnesium, etc.

It is also important for kidney health, making them more able to eliminate

toxins, which makes you pee more. You should not have a lot at one time, but it

has many more functions in the body whether it makes you pee more or not.

Baking soda is all sodium, so it doesn't contain chloride at all, so taking

ocean sea salt too makes the sodium rise without the proper balance of chloride,

and that's why no salt or ocean sea salt is taken with high amounts of baking

soda.

If taking ocean sea salt were a problem then people on this program wouldn't

have been getting healthier, and I'd be sick too.

Bee
