No Sweat- literally

Hi Bee

Hit the infrared sauna last night at the invitation of a friend. I was alarmed

that I did not sweat until a few drops at the very end. I sweat like a sprinkler

historically during the summer months by just stepping out in the sun on a hot

day as well as workouts anytime.

For the record, I don't use the sauna on a regular basis as I know that it is

not recommended but I am concerned about the no sweat. I am starting on week 7

of diet Thanks.

One of the main reasons a person does not sweat when overheated is because they

don't have enough salt. When you aren't sweating like you should take ocean sea

salt.

My problem and embarrassingly so at times is sweating too much and too often.

Now I sprinkle himalyan salt liberally on every meal since starting your diet.

Usage may be a touch shy of your recommended 1 1/2 tsp. I remember water pouring

out of me last July during hot weather. Maybe the humidity has something to do

with it but other than that I'm a pretty salty guy -).

I have not done my nordic track exercises since starting your diet so it seems

that my sweat storage tank should be full and ready to leak out. One thing that

I just thought of is that even though I eat more salt with meals now I am no

longer eating large amounts from salty snacks. Anyway if you have any other

ideas I would appreciate hearing. Hope my adrenals or something like that are

not exhausted.

My body temp runs quite low in general due to allergies and candida die off

rxns. I have a far infrared sauna and sometimes it takes me a long time to work

up a sweat. Could be low body temp due to one of these things? I sweat more if

i sit with my head inside the suana too, for some reason. I eat a lot of pink

mineral salt, so a deficiency in that should not be my problem.

I'm not familiar with that kind of Himalayan sea salt. Does it contain over 84

minerals, and isn't bleached, etc.?

Did you take it when you were not able to sweat in the sauna?

Your questions about babara hendel salt caused me to look at the label where I

don't see a specific reference to 84 or any other number of minerals. (I should

also point out that neither does celtic sea salt make claims about 84 minerals

on their label) In any event it does not contain any additives. I came across an

article which is highly critical of the salt and says that beneficial claims

about trace minerals can't be proven in the lab.

I became interested in this salt when dr mercola interviewed her which I took as

his endorsement- see link below. I called his office and the rep told me that dr

mercola endorses but does not sell the product. He further said that hendel salt

is same as the himalayan salt that mercola does sell on site. I guess I will

research further to see if I should switch over to celtic sea salt even though I

just bot 35 oz.

I would think that hendel himalayan salt would be same as any other himalayan

salt that you recommend. Would you agree?

+++Hi Norm - The company doesn't claim that all Celtic Sea Salt products contain

over 84 minerals, so that's why it is important to buy the grey crystals. I

have the independent laboratory analysis for them and they do contain over 84

minerals, including iodine.
