Guest guest
I noticed in 's last post about dicouragement over her toddler that she has concerns over giving her little one 'synthetic' vitamins. Is there anything we can do to put her mind at rest? I worry that because of this reluctance she is giving her little one lemon to perhaps boost its vit c intake which in my experience is potentially far more problematic early on in the diet especially with a little one than ascorbic acid. Although she has most of the other bases covered with broth and nutritional yeast, this understandable reluctance is stopping her from giving Vit E too. It's very hard for mum's who have to make health choices on behalf of their kids! Any ideas or thoughts? Thanks,
Guest guest
, I appreciate your concern over my reluctance to give Hannah " synthetic " vitamins. It runs deep in me but I don't want to cause any problems or make Bee mad because I'm questioning her expertise and authority. I know there are studies that show vitamin supplementation is beneficial but I struggle with not knowing what is in the vitamins I'm giving my daughter. For example, is the ascorbic acid which comes from corn derived from genetically modified corn? If they don't brag the source is organic I can only assume it is GMO and nearly 95% of corn is GMO. GMO has not been proven safe and has shown to cause infertility in test animals it was given to. This is just one example. The vit. E....if it comes from some nut or seed, is the phytic acid removed and is the seed organic or sprayed with pesticides. Also what process did the seed undergo to extract the vit. E as vit. E is heat sensitive. If my daughter is having a hard time extracting nutrients from nutrient dense foods I just can't grasp the idea she'll benefit from something not God-made such as a synthetic pill. I don't imagine anyone would know the answers to these questions. I can call Natural Factors to see if they will fill me in on their processes and sources. It is my responsibility. I understand that. Thanks again ! I hope this email doesn't come across as I don't love Bee's program because I do. It has revolutionized my dietary planning for my family. I'm so grateful!!!! The problem is that believes everything must be God-given right from Nature, and that isn't possible with some of the supplements. Since the 1970s Orthomolecular Physicians have successfully treated many disorders and diseases using supplements and some are synthetic. Since many people, including babies and children, are getting healthy on my program, including supplements I recommend, it is obvious they are helping whether they are synthetic or not. We do not live in a perfect world, so we have to " pick our battles. " All the best, Bee
