Guest guest
Hi Bee & moderators, I notice that you allow lemon on the candida diet and include it in the electrolyte drink. I have had negative reactions to lemons for about a year anytime I have attempted to put in my diet. I know that people have " detox " symptoms with them but I experience fatigue, pain in my neck/shoulders and indigestion, brain fog, etc. I also take betaine HCL and notice that I have to take more when I experience these symptoms with lemons. Have you ever heard of this negative reaction to lemons or know what it may be from? I would really like to incorporate them in my diet and do the electrolyte drink. The ND that I have worked with has no answer probably because it's such a weird reaction:) thanks,

They would bother my esophagus, a symptom that I assume was connected with the fact that I had acid reflux for over 10 years. During that time I made the electrolyte drink with ginger tea instead of lemons. It was delicious and the ginger was soothing to my stomach. As I understand it, the lemons are optional anyway, the point is having a medium for taking the salt (though some just put it on their tongue, I prefer having it in a drink.) I'm back on lemons now as they do not bother my stomach anymore. Just my two cents! Blessings to you on your healing journey,
Guest guest
> > Well I was thinking about something this morning as I put juice of a lemon into my big bottle of water that I take to the gym with me. How come you don't recommend to heat the lemon juice first since that would break down the cell walls? Am I getting anything (absorbing the vitamin c or the other healing properties) out of putting this lemon into my water? And if I react to it but my reactions have decreased then it can't be the fructose. So my healing reactions have decreased because it has helped my body detox. And its not because my candida has gotten better because I have gone up and down with my symptoms from that. But my reactions to lemons keep decreasing. So my body has to be getting something good out these lemons. What you think Bee? > +++Hi Danny, Thank you for pointing that out to me about cooking lemons before putting them in the drink. That's a great idea! There's much more to this program, so your improvements are because all of the nutrients work together. Bee
