I have been eating chicken, pork, and turkey for months now. Sometimes I eat all of them on the same day. Should I be worried about this? I eat fish about once a week -- sometimes twice -- but I'm nursing so I'm unsure of how much I should eat because of the mercury. Breastfeeding websites give info on how much seafood is okay, but do you have a different opinion, Bee? > > Thanks, > @@ Hi , Fish once/twice week is not a problem. The Mercury is detoxified by the fish's body as well as the healthy fats you consume in the diet. So no worries. To give you more reassurance just consume only the fish and shellfish on Bee's see below. Also the smaller fish, the less residual mercury. Which is the fish and shellfish mentioned on Bee's list. Lecithin in fat also chelates out fluoride. Just a tidbit & reminder. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foodslist.php And, just in case you are wondering, ... Yes, I'm aware of Dr.Mercola's , as other naturopath's fear mongering and concerns on Mercury in fish / seafood. I'm unimpressed, its a lot of unnecessary hype. Their information is unbalanced and lacks the complimentary information I have just given you. So relax, mom to be, ignore the hype Best in Health, Ed group moderator P.S - If the world educators, leaders, and caregivers focused on ranting about the solutions rather than the problems, we'd have a better world. Its not important. You can have them everyday, if you wish. As long as you are acquiring your nutrients from them that is what is important. Which you would on this diet program. So no worries. Rotating foods comes from those who believe you can become allergic to something you eat every day. However, that is totally false. Before industrialization people only had the foods available in their area and they ate them every day and didn't have any adverse affects. The same is true for animals in the wild who eat the same foods all of the time. All the best, Bee
