What to add to well water?

suggestion. I will see what our landlord can tell us about the

latest testing. If it is low in minerals, what do you

suggest? Would you add some 'drops' to the water itself or take more

minerals as part of daily vitamins?

+++Hi Jude,

In that case you should get another source of water that does contain minerals,

like " true " Spring water. There is no substitute for natural minerals from

water.

I too, had asked Bee about well water.

We needed a new system and were getting water directly from the

well into the house. The plumbing and sinks were turning white from

the water.

We checked out RO and salt systems. We finally went with Culligan

and a filter system. Our water was over 28 in hardness, hence the

white coated sinks. Culligan prepares a filtered tank and once a month

delivers it and connects to our holding tank. It softens the water but

is not by salt. The cost is $30 a month. At the end of 6 months we

can buy our own tank and the $$ that we spent will be applied to

that cost. We then could either service the tank ourselves or have

Culligan do it.

I go twice a month with my 20 jugs to the local water processing

plant and fill up with city water. I use a Brita for filtering out the

chlorine.

Is soft water safe to drrink?

So far, so good.

Soft water is inadvisable since it does not contain the necessary minerals. See
