Guest guest
This is getting crazy! I dont even know why this topic was brought up again, the post u responded to was probably a month old!! Since that time I've had plenty of time to figure out my next step and began to lose weight. I read your response then, dont know why u felt the need to respond again when I havent even posted anything since! As for the comment that a 3.8cc fill is common in a 4cc band, THAT is wrong! I have spoken with my doctor here and with Nina and she was just as worried about my band as I am and is insisting that I come back to Mexico so they can check it out. She thinks there might be a hole in it or seeping out around the top somewhere. So, although you mean well with your advice, please try to be more tactful in the future, because most people arent looking for a lecture! I have not been here since the beginning of time, i've been here 3.5 years. I have devoted a lot of time and effort into helping newbies, I have spent weeks writing a blog helping newbies: WASaBubbleButt. blogspot. com I devote all my free time to helping newbies. What do YOU do? Some people are head patters and some are not. Sometimes people need a bit of reality and sometimes they need hand holding. Instead of making assumptions about people you know nothing about, don't read my posts. It's as simple as that. I could go on and on about maturity levels and manners from reading YOUR posts, but I haven't. That is the difference between you and me. You post your way, I'll post mine. You don't like it? The solution is quite simple, don't read. As for 3.8cc in a 4cc band.... this is not at all unusual. It's COMMON. Many factors involved here and I responded to this issue when it was first posted. Just because you haven't heard of it does not mean there is something wrong. On Thu, Jul 22, 2010 at 6:24 AM, rena brown <rena71857 (DOT) com> wrote: All I'm saying is show some RESPECT. Guest guest
I didn't bring it up, I was responding with someone else who just responded to you.IF you have ruled out a leak then 3.8 really isn't that big of a deal. Read the band boards, there are plenty of people that have 5cc in their 4cc band. Sorry, I still stand behind my words. On Thu, Jul 22, 2010 at 11:35 AM, michelle weaver <michelleweaver511@...> wrote: This is getting crazy! Guest guest
Probably best to take the advice of your healthcare providers on the subject of how much in your band. > > Â > >All I'm saying is show some RESPECT. Guest guest
Rena, Unfortunately it's not just newbies! I don't read her post anymore because she is a smart A$$, however I read others and I saw this. Just because you have been on here since the beginning of time doesn't give you the right to be blunt or even rude to others.I have had the sleeve for going on 3 years now and I still have questions. I know for a fact she has run people off this board and that is ashame! She thinks it is her board and it's not. It is all of ours to share our concerns and support each other and not make someone feel silly about asking questions. No one is asking for a pat on the head or to be. Best of Luck to all! Guest guest
I left the board because of it about 3 weeks after my surgery. It's a shame too because I have had a horrible time recovering and horrible side effects. Wish I had somewhere to go for answers but I don't want to be made to feel like a piece of trash...I already have enough regret. Best of luck to all of you in whatever stage of the process you are in. Smiles on all of you always ;-) Keep your heads up and I hope you all reach your goals...you can, and will do it. Guest guest
Sorry you felt you had to leave the board , but I understand. I actually think I blocked her stuff about three weeks after my sleeve as well. I am a very well educated person with a healthcare background and I feel that the only stupid questions are the ones you don't ask. A little empathy with other people in all situations goes a long way. I hope you find the support you are looking for. The first three months were almost unbearable for me. I thought I had made the worst decision of my life and then, sounds crazy but I began attending church regularly and everything began to come together. Best Wishes to you on your journey to health. ne From: Yescas <babys_moogirl2000@...>Subject: Re: HELP!!! Guest guest
Interesting reading. My own opinion, which of course I think is correct, (don't we all??) is that in life situations including but not limited to weight loss issues, I believe it is most helpful to share ONLY my own experiences. I am not an expert on surgery, weight loss, religion, cats, or Hawking's Black Hole Theory...but I am an expert on my own experience. THAT IS WHAT I FEEL COMPETENT TO SHARE. Can't argue with me on that! So my own experience w/lapband, now 3-1/2 years ago from an old broad when I had it (70) to the present is that it works great if I am willing to work too. There have been times when I have not lost for several weeks, tightened up on the calories and lo and behold!! I lose again. Then I get a little sloppy and careless and oooops, no loss. I started at 208 on 4/9/2007. Counted calories and hit the walking trails and water aerobics...got to 170 by September. Then a holding pattern, cut back on the "little extras" i.e., butter, ice cream and added step aerobics and down to 150 by 3/08. Then getting lazy and adding back some of that high calorie stuff and maintained but did not lose. Kicked it back in again, writing down what I ate, blah blah blah and have been at 130-135 in the ensuing 2+ years. Age assures me of several truths...the first being that nothing in life is perfect!! But as a lifetime dieter and failure at every diet and diet program I have ever encountered...this works if I work it! Another truth is that we women and men who suffer from poor self esteem perhaps due to the weight or prior to the weight...respond best to positive reinforcement. So...do what you want to, and if the results are not what you want, perhaps you need to look for another way to accomplish your desires of a slim and healthy body with the tools you have! Guest guest
This was all so mental 4 me. That was the hardest thing b/c I was such an emotional eater. I went through a long period of just being angry at myself 4 letting my weight go so far that I would need surgery and then i was just angry with other ppl b/c they could eat whatever they wanted. I had no physical problems at all. The surgery itself was a breeze. Good luck 2 u. Guest guest
Hi there, Can you give us a name so we know what to call you? It looks like you are new to Bee's forum, so welcome! You say you're following the candida diet, but are you following Bee's candida diet? The reason I ask is because her program is much different than most diets out there and her program gives predictable results so we are able to help people along the way. Bee's program does not include nystatin powder. When you joined this group, you should have emailed some articles to read. In case you missed them, please ensure you read these: 1) How to Successfully Overcome Candida http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php 2) Curing Candida, How to Get Started http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php Remember, too, that Candida is not cured by " killing it off " through the use of Nystatin powder. It just doesn't work that way. Candida is only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3) Eliminating damaging foods, and 4) Eliminating toxins in general. Bee's program takes care of all of these and that's why her program is so effective. Here are some Success Stories written by other members of this forum. I hope they can inspire you! http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php All the best, (a group moderator) > > Ive been taking nystatin powder for 1 week now and I feel awful!
