I've got my two dogs switched over but just don't have the energy to work with our poor cats! That being said, I do believe another suggested Craig's List, which I second! I've got a local friend who has placed an ad, stating she will take freezer-burned meats (emptying a freezer? too much left over?) and I'm benefiting from it as she calls me when she's got too much. I've yet to do it myself, but even talking with the local butcher might find you some scraps to use... Good luck

I'm in Washington state but there are lots of raw feeders online that share ideas so it's not surprising you see the same wording in your neck of the woods... I raw feed my dogs. It is really " easy " as they are big dogs; I think I'd not be so excited if they were smaller dogs and needed smaller " meals " . Their " bone " meals are based on a chicken quarter with liver, fat and boneless meat (beef, pork) added in. Then sometimes they get a nice rib to chew on. Amazing how happy my dogs are. Their teeth are even noticeably whiter and the tartar is gone! There are raw feeding groups on . I would stick with the ones that feed like Bee suggests: if grains are not good for humans, they can't be good for our dogs/pets. My dogs have proven that. Mine get no grains, no veggies or fruits. But I appreciate your waiting till you're up and running on the pgm yourself. I totally overdid it when i began raw feeding my dogs...way too early (in to my following Bee's pgm myself), so it was very overwhelming!! But i just couldnt continue to feed them kibble, seeing the degeneration happening in my older lab. She fairly jumps now for the chance to take a walk in the snow!
