Guest guest
> > Hi Bee, > I've been thinking about what you said about me getting 'sick' on Sunday because of what I ate on Thanksgiving. Now I'm thinking that I provoked my other two 'sick' times too. So my question is this, if I hadn't provoked it by eating 'off diet' would the detox have been easier? Don't I need to detoxify anyway? I know it's not necessary to know the difference, I guess I just want to know if I caused an 'extra' detox' or would it have happened anyway? > +++Hi Debbie, Even when your body is healthy it must detoxify every day, which is part of normal metabolism. But the simple answer is, yes, you forced your body to detoxify those offending foods which wouldn't have happened if you had stayed on the diet. Metabolism is the process of making new tissue and new cells and breaking them down. Everything that takes place to maintain life in your organs, tissues, cells, and inside cells is lumped into the term " metabolism. " Metabolism is the general term used to describe all the biochemical reactions that keep the body alive. Metabolism is the balance between making new tissue and breaking it down. This balancing act is between the anabolic processes and the catabolic processes. Anabolic processes are those that build molecules, tissue and even organs in the body. An example is the replacement of tissue from an injury. Catabolic processes are those that break down substances into simpler ones. An example would be the breakdown of fat or sugar for use as energy. Anabolism and catabolism are finely tuned processes that the body always strives to keep in balance. If anabolic processes prevail, the result will be too much building and not enough breaking down. Gaining weight represents excess anabolism. If catabolic reactions dominate the physiology, there will be too much tissue breakdown and a lack of tissue growth when needed. Guest guest
Okay, great. Thank you. Now I get it and I will be less likely to cheat now that I know it will make me sick. (seriously, I didn't think 3 times in 3 1/2 months was that big of a deal.) I would have never figured that out since it took 3 days for my body to 'get angry' with me. Just curious, did I say something that made you think I have a problem with why certain foods aren't on the diet? This was an easy transition from WAPF. I've just added a boatload of fat to my diet and cut the 1-2 pieces of dark chocolate a day. The surprising part is the difference in how it makes you feel. Thank you for clearing that up and saving me from my ignorance, Debbie

Yes, I thought you ate off-diet foods because you didn't understand why they aren't on the list. Instead it appears you need to learn more about how the body heals itself naturally. If I didn't give you the link, here it is: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu1_2.php That's good you notice the difference when you add more fat and cut out offending foods. You go girl! All the best, Bee
