Guest guest
Hi Bee and everyone, I'm a long time lurker and started the diet about 2 years ago. I'm very sensitive as it took me a year and a half to get up to 6 Tbsp of CO and 4 Tbsp of butter. My primary detox symptom has been joint pain (knees, ankles, knuckles) although I went through the standard brain fog, gas, muscle pain, etc. I'm taking all the supplements and eating only allowed foods. The past six months my diet has remained static as I reached my ratios for fat and protein (carbs have been low). At about this time my sensitivity to fragrances and VOCs started to become very noticeable giving me brain fog and joint pain. I've tried my best to avoid them when I can which has helped. More recently I have noticed a sensitivity to my clothing/bedding (even organic cotton washed in Dr Bronner's liquid soap in filtered water). The clothing is causing itchiness, joint pain, and makes it difficult to sleep - it has become a major issue. I take Epsom salt baths at least every other day and coffee enema weekly and they help, but not for long. Any recommendations on how to get through this? Is this normal? Am I doing something wrong? Should I join a nudist colony? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Walter

Some people do become more sensitive to toxins from all kinds of sources while their body is healing itself, but this too should pass as you continue on the program. First, remove all soap residues by washing everything in plain water. Then make your own laundry soap; there are many recipes on the internet: Ingredients: 1 bar yellow soap like Fels Naptha or Sunlight 1/2 cup Borax 1/2 cup Washing Soda (found in the laundry aisle) -Grate the bar of soap. -Add 1/2 cup of borax. -Add 1/2 cup washing soda (it's in the grocery store with other laundry soaps). -Mix together and store in air tight container. -Use 1-2 tablespoons per load. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Bee, thanks for the info - I will try this. One quick question: Should the plain water be filtered to remove chlorine. My washing machine is not on a filter. Walter > > > > > > More recently I have noticed a sensitivity to my clothing/bedding (even organic cotton washed in Dr Bronner's liquid soap in filtered water). Buy the plain crystals and not any product that contains calcium or other minerals. Use a level tablespoon per load. Bee
