Patty thanks for such encouraging words. I really appreciate them right now and need them. I am so thrilled that the medical board authorized payment of my explant. We've just been on such a tight budget these past few years and now that I finally have some money saved I want to take us on a trip later this year so if my health can hold out I want them to pay the whole cost. Ideally I would like to have them out right away but my PS's schedule wouldn't permit it even if I did pay for the operation myself. I'd have to go looking for someone else and I really like and trust this guy.

Now as far as the energy goes.....here's my update. Since last Tues I have been taking my supplements faithfully and have felt a steady increase in my energy. I have been taking my L-Tyrosine faithfully during the day but by bedtime have to admit I'm to tired to take the 5HTP. hehe I get up with more energy. I'm not losing my hair anymore, in fact, this morning I had 2 people in the office come up to me and comment on how gorgeous my hair was and that I must have spent hours on it. hehe I have naturally curly hair, layered so it looks like a wash and wear perm. Women want to kill me for it. ha ha. I spent a total of 5 mins on it with a diffuser. I'm bouncing thru my days. I even skipped today on our walk. I no longer dread doing anything for fear it will use up what precious little energy I did have. Yesterday I slumped in the morning and thats to be expected with Candida when it is raining out but when the weather cleared up I got outside and washed my jeep, both inside and out, filled up my bug juice resevoir (sp?), conditioned the leather apolstery and then put air in my tires, went grocery shopping and putzed around the house. Today after work I picked my youngest son up from trade school (he's 19) made a nice dinner for him and his friend and then loaded up all their furniture and possessions that we had stored in our garage and delivered them to their new suite. I still have energy. Wow!!! Whatever I'm doing it is working. I feel awesome! My husband has a pretty bad cold right now also but I haven't had any signs of one wanting to attach itself to me.

Yes I'm still on the Diflucan. What I have noticed is as long as I'm taking it the burning in the vaginal area is not as bad or hardly noticeable. I keep persisting with it because I have what looks like a small piece of tissue that has turned white'ish in the vaginal area and nothing I have tried so far has cleared it up. I have rinced with GSE for several weeks in a row and it has not helped. I felt the same way you do Patty until I started talking to the people on the YEAST-L list that I belong to and it seems that in order to get Candida until control or completely out of your system you have to hit it with different antifungals at different times. There are specific ones for your stomache, your upper GI tract, your lower GI tract, your colon, your nasal passage, yada yada. I have tried many things including the coloidal silver which created a tremendous die off. I'm supposed to be taking GSE right now but have not started them and the reason for this is......in order for any kind of infection to set in and take up permanent residence, you have to have an imbalance, a weakness if you will in your system. I was always trying to attach it head on and would get sick as a dog and then get scared with the extreme die off and give up. I finally realized that if I rebuilt myself, my system, and make it stronger, eventually my body will start fighting back against those little critters that are causing havoc. I have only been able to achieve this mind you since I had the live blood analysis last Tues. I can't believe the difference in how I feel. Incredible!!! So now that I seem to be on the right track I will continue with the Diflucan for the next 4 weeks, will start taking the GSE again in about 2-3 weeks and keep praying that I can take back some if not most of my health before these implants come out. That is my goal.

Do you talk on the YEAST-L with and a as owner and co-owner. If you do, they are both super and have excellent idea's. I have picked up alot from them and so many others on the list. Yes Candida creates alot of the very same symptoms we have and that is probably part of the reason I was in denial for so long. All my symptoms lean towards Candida not implants. ha ha No wonder doctors fight it so much. Alot of Candida symptoms resemble so many other sickness's that it really can be very deceiving and theres tons of people who have Candida that do not have implants. So, on one hand I can understand why so many refuse to believe that implants are no good for you.

I'd better go here before I ramble on about that contraversy. You have a great night and I'll talk with ya soon. Hugs!! J

Hey Jackie,

Congratulations on your approval! This is awesome! It sounds like you have alot on your plate coming up in the next few months. Wow! But I am sure you are so relieved to know that it is handled and those bags of soup are coming out of you! If you could get them out before the wedding that would be great, but I can see your desire in being able to just get through the wedding first and being able to relax afterwards. Hard decision.

I hope you are over the headache and sluggish feeling, (hopefully it wasn't a cold--my husband has one now and it has hung around for almost a week. But I didn't get it! Must be my overactive immune system slinging bullets at anything that comes its way). The lack of energy is very frustrating, but once those implants come out, you should see gradual improvements in that area.

Are you still on the Diflucan? Are you noticing anything from it? I have thought about taking it, but I am not too keen on taking the prescription drugs at all. I know there are natural ways to deal with candida, but they take forever it appears. Hard decision here, too!

I joined a Candida list on , and I am surprised at how sick these people are from the systemic yeast. They are just as bad as we are. I asked if anyone had implants on the list, and I did not get one reply. But these people are really struggling with alot of the symptoms--brain fog, memory problems, concentration difficulties, fatigue, no social life, sick for years and years and years. Most of them are on natural therapies, so I hope to get some good ideas from them. It sounds like you are pretty familiar with the systemic yeast already, Jackie. I know the yeast diet is very strict, and probably very, very hard to follow. One lady on another group said she cured her yeast by eating nothing but raw meat for 2 years. That really impressed me! (yecchh) I am working my way up to a meat and veggie only diet. I have been 100% successful with the no chocolate resolution I made at the New Year! Now, I need to cut out sugar, flour products, and dairy 100% too.

I have done several liver cleanses. They are not too bad, and I have seen results in the toilet the next morning. The hardest part for me is the epsom salts ( or magnesium citrate that I have substituted). I do think they can be beneficial, but I have also read of another type of liver cleanse where you drink only cold pressed olive oil and fresh lemon juice, (no magnesium sulfate or citrate), and this helped one woman avoid surgery completely for gallstones. I would also suggest the kidney cleanse and parasite cleanse as well. It gets a bit overwhelming....but I do think detoxing our bodies are key.

I hope you do get to take part in the lawsuit. I have not even gone down that road, as I knew I didn't have a chance. (got them in too late) If you are able to get in it, it may be worth the effort. The manufacturer's really do need to know just how many women they have harmed with these faulty devices, and take responsibility for it.

Take care and congratulations again on your explant approval!

Patty

Subject: Update

Hi Patty and all,

I woke up this morning with one of those headaches that told me that my hubby had successfully passed on his cold. Now in all fairness I am taking alot of supplements that are probably creating a die off effect to some degree so this could very well be a reaction to my body cleaning itself out but oh what the hell.....I love to blame him for every thing anyways. lol Just kidding.

I'm a little more sluggish today and moody altho I did forget to take my supplements for depression. Patty I have been on Diflucan for the past 2 weeks, ran out about 3 days ago and noticed that the burning returned when I stopped so I went back to the docs today and got another prescription for 4 weeks this time. At the end of 4 weeks if we still haven't gotten this yeast somewhat under control I asked him if he would just scout around for a new body for me. He said he would see what he could do. I asked him for one that would make my brain work better. He's working on it.

Never done a liver cleanse but I think I'm about to and have actually been drinking lots of water with lemon in it which is supposed to help cleanse the liver. I'm thinking I need to do something. Have you done one?

I have not read that book yet but will maybe borrow my girlfriends and give it a whirl. Patty I have suspected Candida for the past year and a half and have tried to stay strict on the diet but must admit I can make it about 3 weeks tops being super strict and then I cheat or cave in for some treat that has flavor in it. I do feel alot better and more clear headed when I remain sugar free so that will be my goal for the next 2 months. I say 2 months because I got a call from my PS's office today saying that my explant has been approved by the medical board. They will pay for the removal. Sue is going to send me the consent form to sign and when she receives it back in their office she will book the surgery. She said it looks to be about 2 mos. I'm ok with that because I want this time to not only adjust but to also do a series of cleanses that will help make me stronger for surgery. I feel with the condition of my body right now if I went under anesthetic I would probably get very sick as a result. I've got 2 mos to get healthier and stronger for this blessed event or I might even book it for the end of May. My youngest step daughter is getting married May 26 and I'm making the wedding dress. If my health permits, I might just wait until that splendid event is finished so I can just relax and take care of myself. I know it would be best to have them out asap but if I can't get the surgery date until the beginning of May which is what Sue is indicating then I might as well work it around my schedule so I'm less stressed in the long run.

I also wanted to share this note I received from a lawyer I believe, to whom I had made an inquiry about the class action law suit against Dow Corning. She had originally told me to contact a lawyer here in Vancouver but because the closing date was April 2000 she didn't feel I could be a part of it. Here's something she sent me today.

Ms. Dyer,

Previously you contacted our office with respect to the Dow Class Action. At that time, we informed you that you had missed the deadline for filing an opt in form for the BC settlement. The deadline has now been extended to March 1/01. Please reply with your forwarding address if you would like our office to send you an opt in form.

Yours truly,

Joan

Class Action Assistant

I don't know where this will take me but I felt it was worth a try to perhaps get reimbursed some of my money I have put out if anything comes of it. I have forwarded my address to her. I probably could continue rambling here but I think I'll stop now and go to bed and read. Thanks for being here for me and anyone else who needs this support. It really means alot to me.....Jackie
