Not enough Zinc?

Hi,

Since no one seems to know what kind of digestive issues I have going on....I'm

wondering if I am not able to get enough Zinc? I do Know from past lab work

that my Ferritin level is low...meaning that there is little protein reserve.

This could be caused by lack of protein in my diet prior to starting Bee's diet,

it could also be caused by my bodies inability to utilitze protein? I've been

on Bee's diet for 4 months and all my ratios are good....I noticed about a week

ago that my hair that is constantly falling out and clogging up the shower drain

is now falling out all day long....every thing I wear is now covered with

hair....I am also developing white spots on my nails...I've had the white spots

on my nails before starting Bee's diet...they came and went....so this makes me

believe that the white spots are caused by some deficiency that comes and

goes....I know zinc deficiency causes white spots on nails, hair loss and a

depressed immune system....I have all these things going on dramatically....and

even worse recently....what could be causing my zinc levels to go down when I'm

eating so much protein?

my protein intake for yesterday was 3 eggs fried in bacon grease, 4 strips of

uncured bacon and an 6.5oz steak. I also had all the fats, vitamins and carbs

required? I'm at a loss? Gail (curlygirl)

Hi Gail,

Try not to get too caught up in the all the details. Your body will fluctuate

for a quite some time as it works hard to heal itself and sometimes it may seem

like your symptoms are getting strange or worse, but try not to worry. Bee's

diet provides enough zinc so it will eventually balance itself out in the body.

Prior to starting Bee's diet when you were eating grains, it caused a depletion

of zinc and now that you are eating properly your body is working out a way to

balance everything. It will stabilize as you progress on the diet.

Hang in there!

+++Hi Gail,

I think gave you excellent advice.

Remember that your body is smart enough to balance out " all nutrient, hormone,

water, etc. levels " if you simply follow this program.

Zinc is only required in " trace amounts. "

Iron, zinc and other minerals can only be absorbed and utilized if your body

gets the combination of good fats, protein and low-carbs on this program, i.e.

all of the necessary nutrients any Human body needs, which all work together.

As your body gets stronger you will experience more healing and detoxifying

reactions, so those are to be expected. They are no mystery, since all dis-ease

processes are exactly the same as the healing and detoxifying processes that are

created by the body itself in an effort to maintain its health.

The only difference for people on this healthy program is they are now

progressing towards health rather than becoming more and more unhealthy, or

dis-eased, because they are giving their body what it needs to " be healthy "

according to Nature's Fundamental Laws on Health.

The medical field labels each and every " sign " of poor health as separate

dis-eases, illnesses, symptoms, etc. However all of them are simply " signs " the

body is working hard at maintaining its health in spite of poor nutrition,

toxins, etc., so all of those " signs " are actually normal body reactions.

All the best, Bee
