Guest guest
Hi J. What is your name please? We are very informal on this group but do like to know who we are talking to! You will see when you read through the information on Bee's website - http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/index.php - that you cannot hurry the detoxification or healing process. Bee has found over the years, both in herself and in others who follow her diet that is takes approximately one month for every year we have been sick, to heal. As a lack of REAL nutrition can start even before we are born, it can take as many months as one's age, to heal. This is why Bee has renamed her Diet the 'Healing Naturally' diet, because Candida is just one issue that we are dealing with these days. The older we get the more deficient our bodies become and the more they become a ripe environment to encourage unwanted microbes like Candida. So following the diet means that healing will take as long as it takes and it is good to get into the frame of mind to accept that following this way of eating is pretty much a lifetime thing. Once you get used to it and realise the benefits it's not that difficult. As I always say - if you lived on a desert island and had never seen a chocolate cake or a cream doughnut, you wouldn't miss it! we have got into these health issues because of the Western Diet and it's plethora of processed carbs and sugars and it is good to realise that it isn't doing anyone any favors. Sooner or later the diet will impact on people's health whether they realise it is the diet that is behind it or not. I hope you and your family will be able to benefit from the diet like so many others - there are some amazing testimonials on the website, and every week there are more added. I have 3 health programs on my website: 1) For candida called How to Successfully Overcome Candida 2) Healthy Diet which is described in Foods that Damage, Foods that Heal, along with food and supplement lists. 3) Lose Weight & Heal Naturally. Cheers, Bee

I'm so glad you found us too! Are you taking thyroid meds, and if so how long, since your thyroid will normalize on this program and it is important not to be taking meds when that begins to happen. The reason is because it will throw the thyroid into a tizzy, going from low to high quick quickly. That's how I lost my thyroid when I was on my candida program in the late 1980s. My article explains why gluten is a problem for most people, even those that are unhealthy. In any case ensure you read two important articles so you know what you need to do and why, since you are doing some things right, but you'll need to correct or add some others: How to Successfully Overcome Candida: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration see these wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The best in health, Bee
Guest guest
Sorry Bee - that was a slip of the fingers....I mean to write 'named'. Ali. > > > > Hi J. What is your name please? Guest guest
In response to your questions, Bee, Yes, I am currently taking 100 mcg of levothroid. My labs from two weeks ago were all within normal range so my doctor is not concerned. He doesn't see a reason to keep checking them, even though I explained I was going off gluten, sugar, etc. I will most likely be looking for a new doctor if he is not able to order the needed tests at the appropriate time. Yes, I too am concerned over the possible/eventual o/d on thyroid as my body adapts to a new diet. I don't know if I should request a follow up once I start feeling the effect of becoming hyper, or would that be too late?? Never having gone through this before, I wonder how quickly will my body adapt where I would need to lower my levothroid? Thank you for directing me to your articles, I will add them to my read list for today! J (which is my name!)

How long have you been taking levothroid? Then I can advise you when to get off of it, get tested, etc. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Great, thank you so much Bee! I was put on levothroid at 3 months pregnant in Spring 2008. My dosage has never been below 75mcg or above 112 mcg, but 100mcg seems to be the optimum dosage (per my doctors, per my TSH " only " ). Right now, I'm on 100 mcg. With my appreciation! Since it takes 1 month for every year to heal, once you're taking all of the supplements and completely on the diet for 12 months you should start getting tested every month to 6 weeks, and lower your meds accordingly. In any case you should not be taking them at all after being on this program 16-17 months because that's when your thyroid will be trying to normalize.
