Guest guest
Hi Caren, I have tried several treatments successfully, yet I've never done acupuncture. I get the most relief from the fibromyalgia pain symptoms going for massage therapy. I'm also lucky enough to have a large pool & hot tub in my backyard -- just slowly moving around in the hot & warm water is very soothing to the muscle & joint pain. Since I've never been a swimmer, all I do in the pool is a lot of walking -- forward, backward, and to each side. If you can find a pool where the chlorine level isn't so high that it sets off other reactions, then you might try the water aerobics -- low impact level only. Guest guest
Hi Caren, I can put you in touch with a woman who had alot of acupuncture done and wrote a book about her implant ordeal. Her name is Donna Townes. I can't remember the name of her book, but I read it while I was getting hyperbaric oxygen treatments, and I have written Donna a couple of times. I do remember she was very enthusiastic about her acupuncture. You can write her at: donna@... I also would recommend massage therapy for stress, as well as yoga and aromatherapy using essential oils like lavender. How about some epsom salt baths to go along with that? There is alot you can do at home that isn't that expensive. I really do enjoy the massages with essential oils, which my husband gives to me, and when he doesn't, I give it to myself whereever I can reach! The explant ordeal is tough, so take it slow and be patient with your healing, Caren. Try some of those ideas above, especially the massage. It is awesome.
