Guest guest
Hi, is your name Debbie? Please sign your name when you post. If you want to discuss recipes and cooking please address your questions to Bee's Recipe and Cooking group: Recipes_For_Candida_Healing/ If you found recipes here using flour or potatoes it is a mistake. I just reviewed the Optimal Diet. The only mention of flour or potatoes says not to eat them. http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal13.php#a5 Nan B. moderator > > I was just looking at the optimum diet that is referred to on this site. > I don't understand why there is flour in some recipes and potatoes were > in a sample menu. > > Is it more important to keep the ratios right than it is to make > sure you don't get empty carbs? >

It is set up by someone else who translates his Polish book into English, so I wouldn't rely on it. I was on their forum for a long time, and found there were many mis-interpretations of Dr. K's book and recommendations. One person would translate something one way, and another person another way. It is most important to keep your carbs low and those carbs must be the right " kinds of carbs. " The best book on losing weight is Good Calories, Bad Calories by Taubes that you can buy at most bookstores; here in Canada it was only $20.00 at Chapters. Guest guest
Thank you, Bee. I have looked at that several times and wondered about the 'sponge bread' (with flour) and several meals said potatoes. That now makes sense. Thanks for clearing it up.
