What is the dosage on the elyte chlorella? Should you start out with

one or two caps a day? I took the Sea Greens for a while and it

seemed to be a good product.

I started with 3 pills at night and in one week went up to the

recommended dosage of 12 pills at night. I did not have any problems

with any of the dosages.

I also take 1 -2 capsules of sea greens everyday.

I have only observed Chlorella in action with my fiance -- and it definitely

works. As far as fillings, if mercury is leaching, it will be leaching through

your gums, and not from your teeth as you swallow the tablets. In other words,

it's already leaching if it's going to.

Otherwise, ramp up use slowly to determine what you can tolerate. It is an

effective mercury detox, so if you are taking too much, you will get really

really sick.

All the information on LDN is available at the LowDoseNaltrexone

Support Group although it is mainly for MS people.

I simply grind down ReVia 50 mg tablets to powder, split the powder

into 11 equal sections, and place the powder into empty capsules.

This gives me a dose of between 4.5 and 4.8 mg. It also makes it the

cheapest of my medications.

Let me just add that I was disappointed in only receiving one reply

to my question on Chlorella. I take it that no one here has much

faith in it being usefull for CFS/FM.

There has been a lot of discussion on this list about chlorella. If you

search through the archives you may get lucky.

I have been taking chlorella for about 14 years, both with and

without mercury filllings. I have never come across information that

indicates that it shouldn't be used if mercury fillings are present.

I still take chlorella every day. For me it is particularily useful for

brainfog and dull headaches. (Paralyzing headaches than

made me a total idiot). It enabled me to stop taking Fiorinol and

naprosyn (sp?)

Yes, but it's the dandelion root that increases bile. The dandelion

leaf increases urine output. I've found the tea very effective.

I'm sure they come in capsules also.

Hi

On cilantro - How did you give it??? Tincture?

>>>Yes Gaia Herbs from iherb.com - I was recommended this brand by another mum

Leaves? I'd love to know. ALA is a problem for us because of yeast and copper toxicity, unless I'm getting mixed up.

I don't think so, not in our case anyway. Side effects increase the more agressive you get and I don;t think it moves you forward in any significant way. I forget what you are doing now? TD DMPS?

Mandi

So.........with copper in the picture, would you give cilantro yourself? What do you think?

I don't. I hadn't thought of that, either. But I'm pretty sure I've never heard that suggested, even by AC. Am I wrong? Long before autism arrived in my life, naturopathic people I respected were saying that chlorella was impo for "cleaning out" or some such your blood by binding with impurities. I used to take it myself for that reason.

On cilantro - How did you give it??? Tincture? Leaves? I'd love to know. ALA is a problem for us because of yeast and copper toxicity, unless I'm getting mixed up.

Re: redistribution

I am thinking how do you know the Chorella isn;t mobilisng more instead of mopping up?

I did do a few rounds with Cilantro with first dose only and then normal round for DMSA/ALA to mop up from Cilantro. I'm convinced its a good mobiliser..............

Mandi

So with that reassurance, I'm giving a fair amount of chlorella to mop up stuff before it gets a chance to redistribute. Thoughts, anyone?

I don;t know, Cilantro felt agressive and a little off the wall to me - nobody really knows how to dose the stuff or the mechanism by which it works and that worries me.

Chicken Mandi in Dorset

Yep, td-dmps. So don't you think cilantro is a real possibility INSTEAD of ALA? Same amount of aggressiveness in treatment...?

Yes, a lot of heavy metal toxic people cannot take chlorella.

It is Dr. Klinghardt who says that one should take large doses,

although he also says that a " large dose " is around 70 tablets

per day, and that one should only take the brand that he sells

(that sounds suspicious in itself).

Yes, it was the same brand: Bio-Reurella.

We can never know for sure what difference the time span made, but

knowing my reactions, I think that dosage was the crux of the matter.

If chlorella makes you feel better, I'm interested

in knowing what brand you are taking and what your

dosage is.

Chlorella often makes people feel worse!

Right now I'm taking SUN Chlorella " A " . Can't recall

the brand prior to using this package. What I do is pop

12 or so 200 mg tablets of Chlorella and two capsules

of milk thistle 15 minutes before going into the

Finnish sauna. Then slowly swill down a crap load of

Poland Spring water. Then sweat my butt off for 30 to

40 minutes. The trick is to heat the sauna up before

going in, then shut down the heater. I tried thysilyn

but it didn't agree with me.

Sandi Maurer wrote:

> I cannot do the sun chlorella or any chlorella very well

Yes, my experiences with chlorella have certainly been mixed as

well. I remember years ago trying various brands of chlorella

and having all sorts of terrible reactions. Sun Chlorella

was one of the nastier brands as I recall. I heard that one

reason that people have such a bad reaction is that many brands

are contaminated with heavy metals to start with!

HOWEVER, I have also found that small doses of uncontaminated

chlorella taken over a long period of time does have

benefits. NDF is one such brand. I took this for a couple

years starting in 2001, and my health did improve noticeably

during this time, and it did help my ES symptoms immediately

after taking a dose. More telling, my health did NOT improve

any further in the years after I stopped taking it. So

I'm taking it again now to see if I get further improvements.

But it's not something that I expect to see quickly. It'll

be more of a case where I will compare my overall health

next year with how it is currently, and see if there are

any obvious improvements.

Also, it's important not to take too much of this stuff,

as it it will make me feel bad. For example, currently

I can take 2 drops daily of NDF without consequence. At 3

drops, I notice some mild detox symptoms. At 4 drops,

those symptoms become bothersome (dehydration, headache,

feeling like I'm about to catch the flu, etc.). So

the recommendation in such a case is to take 2 or 3

drops. Eventually over time, 3 drops won't cause

me any problems, nor will 4, and then I can safely

move up to that dose. People who have no problem

with toxicity can probably take 100 drops all at

once and notice nothing at all.

I'm also taking limited amounts of chlorella capsules

from Biotics Research. These don't seem to be contaminated,

but again, I started off tolerating only a half a capsule

of these per day, and am now up to 1.5 capsules per day.

Here is where I buy NDF:

http://purehealthsystems.com/heavy-metal-removal.html

And here is the NDF manufacturers site:

http://www.bioray2000.com/Products.cfm

And here is where I buy Biotics Research chlorella:

http://www.totalsupplement.net/shop/index.php?shop=1 & itemid=540

But both of these products are sold elsewhere. They

are both professional (doctors) brands, so you probably

won't find them in your local health food store!

As for the NCD/liquid zeolite, I'm on a heavy metal

detox list, and there is one person there who has

literally tried every chelator with horrible side

effects. The NCD liquid zeolite seems to be

the only thing she has ever tolerated, and

she has been showing slow & steady signs of

health improvements. That's the way it is

with detox from severe poisoning --

slow & steady!

Hi Marc,

Could you give a link to the heavy metal detox list? (I can't seem to

find anything useful using the search-option at .)

Thanks,

Aslak.

I used to use Sun Chlorella but stopped because I just couldn't afford it

anymore. I wonder if BioPure is less expensive.

I got a headache while at first using chlorella. I think it was a detox

symptom.

Today I got my Samento I ordered in the mail, along with another bottle of

PCA-RX. Any day now I should be getting the CellFood in the mail too. I hope

I'm not doing too much too soon. I feel a little metallic, and with a headache

today, but I'm desperate to get well.

Marc are you just taking the chlorella every few hours while you're in front

of the computer?

I've just been doing some experimenting with chlorella

tablets, and I see that these are also helping my

ES (plus chlorella is a heavy metal chelator).

This is surprising to me, as I tried chlorella years

and years ago, and found it made my ES worse. However,

I suspect this is due to me being much better than

I was years ago, and also I'm a bit smarter on

finding the right brand, dosage, and frequency

of taking it.

The chlorella I'm using now are 200mg tablets from

BioPure (which I suspect is a good brand, as it

is promoted by famous mercury doctor Dr. Klinghardt).

I'm taking about 4 tablets every 3 hours while

using the computer. I do get a slight headache

after taking it, and will try it some more to

see if my tolerance for it degrades or improves.

I've seen others here say that chlorella helps

their ES, so I guess this shouldn't be too

surprising. I have been a bit fearful of

taking it after previous bad experiences, though.

Interesting post Marc, thank you.

I hope this doesn't hijack the thread, but it reminded me to tell you

that I tried Modifilan (brown seaweed extract) - you had said that it

made you feel agitated, I believe.

Anyway, I went through one bottle, working my way up to the maximum

dosage. It may have helped a bit, but it was difficult to say. I

can't say I felt any more agitated by it than without. I think it's

something that should be tried (excepting situations in which it gives

acute irritation) for more than, say, a month at a time. I might give

it another go sometime in the future.

Thanks for the positive post on chlorella. Anyone else?

Cheers,

R.

Yes, my reaction to Modifilan was rather extreme -- one might even

catagorize it as some kind of " allergic " reaction.
