Guest guest
Hello Everyone! After figuring out my daily ratios, my carb target is about 13.5 carbs per meal. Is this a minimum, maximum, or an exact target. Can I do without carbs if I don't want them, or do I need this much. I realize that the protiens and fats need to hit my target zones fairly accurately, but am still a little foggy as to how carbs fit into the picture. Are they necessary to a healthy diet? Thanks,

It is okay to not have carbs, but it is impractical, which means your body must convert protein and fats into carbs/glucose. That's okay too, but if you eat all protein and fat your fat ratios should be up to the lower range, and then you need to consume 80% fat to 20% protein by calorie count, not by grams. Most people need time to get their fats up to that range, since they cause so many detoxifying and healing symptoms. Bee
Guest guest
Thanks, Bee. I haven't had much trouble getting my fats within range, probably because I have taken 2 months to learn the system, during which I slowly increased my fats and slowly decreased my carbs. It is only now that I am seriously trying to get my ratios honed down and accurate. My protiens have been pretty much on target all along, so the adjustments were totally fats and carbs. Also, I have used coconut oil for many years and am used to it, so the only adjustments have been in amounts. That makes things nice for me, because it is one less thing to get used to on this program. So far, I haven't seen anything that I can really classify as " detox " or retracing. Perhaps because I am only just now fully on the program. I expect to see some things crop up in a little while. > +++Hi , > > You do not need to consume the exact ratios with every meal.
