Guest guest
Thanks for your response Bee, Can you help me sort this out? I undestand the idea of detoxifying reactions, and retracing. I have had some of these reactions, though not a lot. The hypogycemia doesn't feel the same as the detoxing reactions, to me. If I go longer than about 3 hours without eating, I get dizzy, very, VERY, VERY irritable, brain-fuzzied, can feel a sinking hunger feeling in my stomach, and really cannot function. These are not the same reactions I have to detoxifying. I would like to go longer between foods, but I have a house of 10 people to run, home schooling 6 of them, driving one back and forth to college twice a day, etc, etc, and cannot be incapacitated for hours a day. Not to mention I cannot keep my cool and cope with the varying emotional needs of mulitiple levels of children if MY emotions are out of whack all day. Also, if I go too long without eating I literally cannot stand up due to lightheadedness (happened not long ago with a bout of a stomach ailment - yes, I know about the germ theory being wrong, can't figure out how that works with whatever it was, as everyone in the house had the exact same thing, spaced out over a week - but that discussion is for another time). I really want to get to the point where I am not dependent on eating every 3 hours, but my life cannot go on hold while that takes place. It's where I am, and it's not able to change in any significant way at this time. Any advice? And while I've got you - what about kids? They have a much higher demand for fuel than we older folks. It would seem to me that the rules about how often to eat are different for them? They seem to process food much faster than we do, so I can't see making them wait the required time to eat (is it 4 hours, or longer, can't remember?). Thoughts? Thanks I believe you may be mistaking detoxifying reactions as hypoglycemic reactions, since they " feel the same. " Also while you are healing your body " retraces " every past hypoglycemic episode, but your body won't actually " be hypoglycemic " when that is happening. It isn't a good idea to put your body through more stress by eating every 3 hours. Also when food is moving through the small intestines, acid in the stomach is almost stopped. That's why snacking between meals isn't healthy either. We can also have emotional/mental issues which cause psychosomatic reactions. It appears as if your mind is kicking into reacting every 3 hours because of your past bad experiences with hypoglycemia. If you can " tough it out " by not responding to it, and do that enough times, you will stop giving your reactive/ subconscious mind the power to work on you reactively. As you become more healthy physically your reactive mind won't be kicking in as easily. All the best, Bee
