Read this email. Notice this mom says if it takes hours to purge then the child is under oxidative stress. This made me think of a.

As I have never tried a vitamin C flush, I can't offer you much

assistance. However, I use Kirkman Labs' buffered vitamin C powder.

It's well tolerated - easy on the stomach - and pretty concentrated

(1/4 teaspoon = 1,100 mg). I put the unflavored powder in water or

juice (just a little).

Thanks,

I've been using the flavored version of the buffered

powder. He's drinking it as we speak. 1.5 tsp four x per

day - yikes!

Do you use the flavored or the unflavored?

My son prefers the unflavored powder. I have some. Would you like

to swing by and borrow a cup (or two)? :)

I've found that when mixing supplements with liquids - less is more.

It's tough for my son to drink a lot of liquid if it

tastes " funny. " Also, mixing his supplements with the flavorings he

likes really helped. We mixed a little water, a drop of stevia, and

a few drops of lemon flavoring. (He now takes pills. Hurray!)

When we were going through the " cleaning out " process prior to his

scope he needed to drink a significant amount of some nasty stuff and

it was a chore. Sometimes, really cold liquids are more palatable.

Using a straw may also help.

Lots of luck!

We did a Vitamin C flush last year with Dr. Megson's office. We used the unflavored Vit. C from Perque. It is supposedly the purest C on the market. We just added it to orange juice. It took hours for to purge which shows a high level of oxidative stress.

It's weird everytime we get "cleaned out" most of his autistic symptoms disappear.

Take care,

Becky

Thanks so much - How much did it ultimately take (i.e.,

grams of C) to get a complete flush? We " pooped-out " at 50

grams and he just had a loose stool - not a complete flush.

Also, how long did it take for the autistic symptoms to

subside after each flush? We did my son's flush yesterday

and he is a " grumpy cuss " this a.m.

Ann,

Sorry. Didn't realize the intended purpose of the flush. I've used

vitamin C for a different kind of " flush. " Live and learn.

Hi ,

What do you mean by a " vitamin C flush " ? Are you talking about using vitamin C

for constipation?

Hi ,

Thanks for explaining that. Taking the vit C to bowel tolerance is usually

because of constipation, or because you are suffering severe healing reactions.

If you are not experiencing either of these, there is no need for you to

mega-dose on vitamin C. It won't speed up the process of healing :) However,

that is remarkable you were able to take so much without having a stomachache.

It is clear your body is working hard and using all the vitamin C, but it's not

necessary or recommended to take so much over an extended period of time.

As you were! :)

system. I'm curious to know how much Vit. C I can handle until bowel tolerance.

Today I tried 15,000 g. of Vit. C with bioflavonoids throughout half the day and

nothing happened then I stopped. lol
