Hi Ali,

How long do you suspect you've had the bezoar, and how long have you been on my

program?

Hi Bee.

I suspect I may have had the bezoar for at least the last 8 or 9 years, but then

it is possible it could have been there but giving me background digestive

issues for a lot longer than that.

Around 8 or 9 years ago I developed a background 'thumping' like my heart - or

something was labouring, sometimes so bad that my body would actually shake with

it - I could feel my pulse right through my body into my toes. I was, and have

always been convinced it was something to do with my digestion. That is still

there but has improved somewhat.

My digestion has been sluggish for a long time - so bad sometimes it would take

all my energy not to just lay down in the street - even from when I was in my

20s (I am now 53)!

I have been on your diet for over 6 months now, and gluten-free/low-carb since

around March of 2008. I was on the SCD up till I went on your diet. It wasn't as

good, but eating all natural foods did make a big difference and lots of things

were already healing.

It was the fact that my digestive issues weren't responding that got me on to

your diet, but they have not been resolving in any way. This 'lump' I can feel

inside my ribs pressing against them became evident around three years ago and

has gradually got worse although as I said I do think that it may well have been

there but not so blatantly evident some time previously.

It has not improved since being on your diet - I am not saying for one minute

that the diet is at fault - but if this is a bezoar - whatever has caused it,

then it may well have to take medical intervention to remove it.

There IS something in my stomach. It is affected by what I eat. You were right

about me needing to take acid tablets - they do help, and over time the acid may

well help to break up the bezoar, but I am concerned that if it has been there a

long time - and as I suspect, HAS been there for a long time, it may well have

embedded itself into my stomach wall and cause problems if it comes away. Maybe

if I had been taking the acid tablets right from the start things might be

different, I don't know. It's the not knowing what really is going on that is

of concern. Was this in my stomach right from when I became fatigued from the

age of 14/15? Has it been poisoning me all these years???

Last night I took acid tablets and digestive enzymes (I know you have said they

are not necessary - but the enzymes can apparently help to digest and dissolve

the bezoar), laid down on my left back for an hour or so and was shivering for

much of that time in a warm room with a cover over me. That is where I feel the

discomfort and soreness - below my armpit and round to the left of my back.

The detoxing has really abated now - much of that was coming out of my left

armpit, but the putrid breath and brown mouth coating is still very much in

evidence, even though I am pretty sure that Candid is no longer an issue for me.

I have long felt that was coming from my stomach somehow. The lack of acid may

well mean that there is stuff living in there that shouldn't be.

Being Diabetic and having low stomach acid and gastric disturbances are all

strong risk factors for this. The horrible BP capsules I had to take up until 3

weeks into originally dumping the gluten when my BP went back down may well have

contributed to the problem too. Occasionally one would get stuck in my throat -

the capsules were like glue and dumping those was the best thing I ever did. I

would get a feedback of the contents occasionally and it was like poison!!! I

have this mental picture of a big mass in my stomach with loads of gelatinous

goo sticking out of it!!!!

Half of me wishes they would have a look down there so they could see for

themselves! Rotten, rotten drugs, and stinking Medical Profession! Anything

they have ever given me has always made everything heaps worse!

I know it's ONLY 6 months on your diet, but it's the fact that over this time

and the previous two an a half years so many other things have been improving,

but not this, that makes me wonder if this is something that even the diet may

not be able to resolve.

Ali.

Hi Ali,

Your message is so very long and involved I don't have time to read it. If there

is anything you think is important for me to know in your message below, would

you post them in point form? Thanks a bunch.

I have to read so much every day, and do research reading by printing everything

since I don't like to read them on the computer.

Since you believe you've had the bezoar for 9 years, and possibly longer, you

would need to be totally on this program for at least 9 months in order to get

past the retracing of all of the episodes of symptoms you've experienced in the

past. That's why you still feel a lump in your stomach.

The timing starts once you are totally on the program and have gotten your fats

ratio up to the lower range, with protein and carb ratios accurate, and you've

done that consistently.

I don't believe being gluten-free and/or low-carb before that lessens the timing

at all, since all of the nutrients on this program work together, and your body

needs all of them in order to heal itself properly.

Even then it may take longer, depending upon other factors, like your age,

stresses, and other kinds of diseases you've had.

All the best, Bee

Hi Ali,

My brother, who is now 63 years old, is a good example of retracing.

He had Crohn's Disease (diarrhea and inflammation of his colon) for over 20

years when he started on my program.

He continued having the same symptoms for 20 more months when they finally

stopped.

Sorry for the long message - I was trying to give you enough information to help

you understand.

Basically, whether this thing was there before I went gluten-free/low-carb two

and a half years ago I haven't a clue, but it has only become evident during or

since maybe just before that time and even though I have been on your diet fully

for over 6 months it is not improving.

It may have been there longer but only became noticeable in the last three

years. If this works on the principle of a month for a year, then I would have

expected to see at least some healing by now.

This is NOT retracing. It is, and has been, there ALL the time with no

improvement at all. I don't know what it is and I don't know what to do about

it.

I imagine I would be better opting for the gastroscopy if I do decide to let the

Medical Profession loose on me, rather than having a CT Scan.

Just out of interest - is an MRI better than a CT if you have to have a scan at

all?

Hi Ali,

My husbands specialist just told us that a MRI is very safe compared to a CT

scan. CT scan are really high radiation.

They don't do MRI 's because they are much more expensive because of the

equipment and time.

He gave my husband a referal for a IVP. They used to do these a lot but have

almost stopped using them because they take more time.

If you can get an MRI.
