Hi, my family is currently doing the GAPS diet, which is similar to Bee's.

However we have chronic lyme and candida and are doing well but I'm interested

in finding out more about Bee's.

First, I'm wondering how long people typically follow the diet before starting

to add foods back in like fruits and properly prepared grains, etc. I know it

takes a month per year for healing, but I'm just curious. :)

Also, how in the world do you eat so much fat compared to protein? I like the

egg drink recipe and will try it. Is there any other ways to eat fat without

having to eat it plain on a spoon? We can't stomach it well that way.

Also, we take pascalite clay every day which has lots of minerals like calcium

and magnesium. Do we still need to take all the supplements or do many people

heal without them? Especially if we eat lots of chicken bone broth with

minerals in it? I'm trying to reduce the cost of supplements.

Also, I recently found a brand of raw goat milk yogurt that has been fermented

for 30 hours, eliminating all the lactose. Is this still not allowed? It is

encouraged on GAPS, and many people have HUGE gains on it. Do people eliminate

all dairy for a matter of months then introduce yogurt like this, sticking with

all the other legal foods?

I have a lot of questions dont I? Sorry! I would soooo love to hear your

responses though!

Oh, and I'd love to hear if anyone has recovered from lyme disease or athsma (my

daughter has it) with this diet alone. I know Bee says not to do other

supplements, which makes sense, but I need to weigh whether we need to take our

lyme supplement or not. Its very gentle and restores the body's ability to

heal, so it doesnt just kill it all off, but I'm wondering where I should spend

our money, as we are pretty limited.

Thanks!

Janelle :)

+++Hi Janelle. Since most people nowadays have been unhealthy since before they

were born they are staying on the diet a month for every year of their age, i.e.

if you are 40 years old, that's 40 months.

+++However, in order to maintain life-long health a person must provide their

body with what it needs, otherwise they can get sick and unhealthy. So that

means following the basic principles of this program.

+++Fruits contain fructose which is the worst kind of sugar for humans, and

grains that aren't mycotoxic (contain fungus) are okay in small amounts. Grains

that are mycotoxic are most common grains, i.e. oatmeal, wheat, rye, barley,

corn because they have been genetically modified so fungus grows in them that

cannot be removed.

+++It isn't recommend to take it by the spoonfuls anyway. You can slather

butter all over cooked meats and vegetables and it makes them taste great too.

You can add them to soup or bone broths, etc. Many messages have been on this

group advising the many ways to consume fats, so please search for them.

+++Taking clay is not recommended. You get plenty of minerals from the sources

I recommend, which is ocean sea salt, foods, cal/mag citrate supplements, and

tap water that's filtered with Britta or PUR water filters.

+++If you consume at least 3 cups of bone broth per day you don't need to take

cal/mag supplements, but you need the other sources of minerals.

+++When milk is fermented the lactose in it is changed into another sugar called

galactose, so it isn't okay to have yogurt of any kind.

+++My brother recovered from lyme's disease, and there are Success Stories about

people who have recovered from asthma - here's one:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/ss20b.php

+++You can search for others here:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php

There are four causes of all failing health, which are:

1. Lack of proper nutrition and oxygen.

2. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste.

3. Lowered vitality due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, relationship

or financial worries and concerns, etc.

4. Nutritional status inherited from your parents upon conception, which can be

corrected by proper nutrition.

So in order to recover from any diseases like lyme's or asthma the body requires

all of the things provided on this program which are:

1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements),

2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and

cancer),

3) Eliminating damaging foods, and

4) Eliminating toxins in general.

When the immune system is strong enough it will automatically " make " candida,

lyme's, or any bug, cancer, etc. change back into the organism it is supposed to

be when the body is healthy.

That's why this is an overall healing program that improves everyone's health,

since it provides the body with what it needs in order to heal itself naturally,

the way Nature intended.

All the best, Bee

Thanks so much, Bee! It is so wonderful that you personally respond to

people here. Makes me feel a little less alone trying to help our

family heal. So, my question then is about supplements for kids. Do

you or anyone else know of cal/mag or vitamin b supplements for kids?

We have been giving my older daughter something called hydro c every

morning and my younger natural calm. It has been hellish and I don't

think we can continue. They hate it and cry for an hour. We can't eat

breakfast till they are done so it's been hard. Is there anything out

there that tastes better? I can't imagine there would be anything

without sugar. That's partly why I wanted to know if the supplements

were crucial cuz I don't know if we can do it. They are 5 and 3 so

can't swallow pills. They will take cod liver oil though, on food. Not

easy but not nearly as bad as making Them drink powder in water.

Would chicken broth supply enough minerals? I guess we would still need vitamin

b though. Does vitamin b come in liquid drops, with the niacin and everything?

They will do drops. Thanks again! I'm excited to begin -- I think it will be

huge for us.

+++Hi Janelle. Most kids like the taste of Nutritional Yeast Flakes instead of

taking B Complex. It tastes kinda nutty. If they don't like it, the flavor can

be disguised in other foods like Bee's Egg Drink or soup.

+++What is hydro C ? Also what is in Natural Calm - do you have a link?

+++Yes, bone broth supplies enough minerals, but they still need ocean sea salt

for over 84 trace minerals, and it is also a natural source of sodium+chloride =

salt, which are 2 of 7 macrominerals our bodies require.

I hope that helps.
