Guest guest
My mom made meatloaf and didn't refridgerate it. It stayed out overnight in the oven, is it still safe to eat? Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi , It's better to ask this question on the cooking group: Recipes_For_Candida_Healing/ However, to quickly answer your question: Any time meat is left in the oven, it is probably OK unless you licked the knife you used to cut it or picked at the meatloaf with your fingers. 8 to 10 hours is probably OK at lower temperature weather. Hot days would cause bacteria to grow faster. Nan B. > > My mom made meatloaf and didn't refridgerate it. Guest guest
I think it also has a lot to do with where you live. Our home is at high altitude, with a dry, cold climate, and food (even meat) keeps well at room temp. However, when we are on our annual vacation in Hawaii, we have to be diligent about storing food in the fridge, because bacteria and mold grow at an alarming rate there. I have seen things go bad within 2 hours at room temp in Hawaii. Nothing has ever made us sick at home. > > > > My mom made meatloaf and didn't refridgerate it.
