Guest guest
Sorry Charlie ... telling women to 'go home and exercise' is a line I have heard so very very very very many times through the years ..... it seems to be a dismissal of the woman's concerns. By the time they have gotten the courage to mention it to you, most of them have already exercised themselves silly. What they are asking for is help, not demeanment. The response is such a standard one from (male .... there are still too few of us female)doctors. It is a demeaning one and completely off base....I have watched too women be humilitated by that reply to the point they never mention the topic again. This is just meant to be a reminder to be aware that, when this condition becomes a part of a woman's life, they already know to exercise. Come up with another alternative for them, please. I guess I should have been more specific. I agree with the neurology and presumed other docs did as well. Dr Freedman did mention he treating his "patient" again I presumed he was addressing that issue with adjustment. I did not think he needed a lesson in neurology as we all have had it before and practice it every day!!!!! For you to jump on that sexist band waggon and include your "rant" is sexist and demeaning in itself Frequent Urination Hi Docs,I had a question about a 33 year old patient that I have recently started adjusting. She had mentioned frequent urination, approx. 2x/hour. I asked her if she knew why and she told me this story. She had been catheterized for a procedure a few years ago, and was on an IV. She was not producing any urine, but had a feeling of fullness in her bladder that kept increasing. The next day when her primary MD came to check on her and she had still not passed any urine, her examined the catheter line and found that it had a large kink. She said that she immediately passed over a gallon of urine then. Ever since then she has this frequent urination issue and feels like this is something that she has to live with because her bladder got so stretched out. Does anybody have any advice for her? I'm at a loss. Thanks,Matt Dr. Matt Freedman Chiropractic Physician Pure Life Chiropractic 1000 Willagillespie Road Suite 100 Eugene, Oregon 97401 (541) 343- KNEE (5633)http://www.purelifechiropractic.com/ Send e-mail faster without improving your typing skills. Guest guest
It has been my experience that most women forget about the exercise. And I again presumed that since we are holistic practioners that the exercise is only a part of the teatment. Please quit grouping me and maybe some of my other male counterparts to the equation that you seem to be focused on! We actually can think outside of the box you know! Guest guest
Happy New Year everyone!!! I can see what Charlie was thinking: Bladder is overstretched, lets re-establish the tone somehow and thereby it's ability to gauge when it is full etc. Perfectly objective clinical thinking in my opinion. However, after a few years it should have resumed it's normal tonicity. A thorough pelvic exam is in order as Minga noted. ph Medlin D.C.Spine Tree Chiropractic1607 NE Alberta StPDX, OR 97211503-788-6800 Frequent Urination Hi Docs,I had a question about a 33 year old patient that I have recently started adjusting. Guest guest
Hi Bee and Moderators I know this is a subject that's come up before but I couldn't find the answer I was looking for. My 8 1/2-year-old goes through periods every now and then of having to urinate frequently. He is not 100% on the diet as I don't think he has serious issues to heal, but we have made significant enough changes. I am wondering if there's anything I can do to help him when this happens. I don't want to see a doctor as they'll probably want to give him anti-biotics. I don't think it's UTI as he is not in pain. It's just an inconvenience at school as he is in and out of the class when it happens. If it is related to diet (and I thought it might be a cleansing reaction), I can get stricter on a few things. Any advice? Priya

It is common during detoxification since the kidneys are one of the major organs involved, along with the lungs, liver and the skin. So this may come and go as his body is detoxifying and healing itself. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hey and thanks, Bee It's important to get confirmation as I am not one to rush to the doctor, especially here in Thailand where antibiotics are dispensed willy-nilly! I have told my son to try not to be concerned about it and that it's a sign that his body is working efficiently. Priya > +++Hi Priya. Guest guest
Frequent urination was a symptom I had 10 years ago -- this was combined with drinking lots of water. I got tested for diabetes, and it came back negative. I started trying things to improve hydration ( " Crystal Energy " water-additive drops, etc.), and the problem subsided. In the mercury poisoning forums, they think of drinking lots and urinating lots as a " classic " mercury-poisoning symptom. Marc
Guest guest
Hi, Marc and All, Likely it is a classic mercury poisoning symptom, but I think it is more general than that. As I mentioned, I get the exact same symptoms from eating homemade chicken vegetable soup (or homemade vegetable soup, too)--frequent urination + ankle +/or lymph node swelling (certain veggie combos are known as being excellent detoxers). I got these symptoms a lot, as well, when I was killing off bad gut flora (another type toxin). Even tho I have done a lot of toxin removal, I have learned there are usually more to be shed. It is an ongoing process (I am writing this for newbies. I am sure you, Marc, know this as well as any of us.  ) I have often wondered, however, whether the urination after an emf reaction is one's body dealing with toxins and debris resulting from just that particular assault. I recently took my Dad for an echocardiogram. I was not in the room with him when it was done, but on the other side of the wall. I had a huge reaction--not at the time, but when I got home--in the form of frequent urination. I was going to the bathroom every 10 to 15 minutes for about 6 hours. But I felt quite sure it was due to being at the hospital on the other side of the wall from the testing equipment, tho I just barely could feel increased emfs at the time. Do we know (I mean does anyone know) conclusively whether this symptom is mobilization of toxins already in the body or just toxins caused by a specific emf reaction?
