Have you ever had a bladder infection? Sounds like a bladder infection to

me. If you don't take care of it, it will get worse and very painful. I

have had quite a few. Get to the doctor and pee in a cup for him/her

immediately. Let us know. If it is you will feel better in no time with

anti-biotics.

Frequent urination

Okay guys...anyone experience this?

I have to urinate very often. I have no infection. But I what I think it

is

is that my excess stomach skin is pushing on my bladder. I go to the

bathroom and I have maybe a teaspoon of urine, but the need feels urgent and

often.

I am thinking I need a panni already! Could that be it? Excess weight on

lower abdomen causing it? I can lift up my excess skin and the desire goes

away...

Anyone?

As a matter of fact cheaper brands, like Old Swillwaukee and Milwaukee's

Beast, are especially bad for that. You may want to trade up to something

like Guinness Stout, which is considered by the Irish to be so good for you

that the pregnant colleens there lap it up like American women take prenatal

vitamins.

Funny you should mention that . Last nite and the past few nites I have

had to go three times in the nite and I didn't drink anything last nite

after about 715p.

If that were true, there'd be a LOT of medically necessary panni's going on.

I for one have A LOT of excess skin.

Let me know if there is any basis to this. If I don't stop, I will have a

UA.

hmmmm! Thanks for that . I've read up on PANDAS, (Pediatric

Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcus)

but didn't catch the frequent urination. He has been sick twice in

the last few months, but no indication of strep. I also know you

don't have to see it for it to be there.

Yep, some doctors will even do bloodwork if it doesn't come up on the

swab. If your son is having it done anyway, you might want to ask them

to check for it.

On a pediatrician board I frequent, the doctors talked about exactly

your son's symptoms; frequent urge to go, with little output, urine

tests negative.

The doughnut shaped one had about an outside diameter of 3 inches and he put it

over his head.

The hole was big enough; I'm not going to brag or complain, heh.

The alum. foil is the diameter of my little finger, formed into a

circle, and wrapped in two layers of washcloth, sewn in place.

when at the supermarket for your lantern battery, pick up some

doughnuts and hot dogs, and you're set. Discard after use.

She said that she immediately passed over a gallon of urine then. Ever since then she has this frequent urination issue and feels like this is something that she has to live with because her bladder got so stretched out. Does anybody have any advice for her? Doc, one other thought I had is the following cut and paste information.

Ovarian Cancer Whispers - so listen.. Watch for Pelvic or abdominal pain or discomfort; vague but persistent gastrointestinal upsets such as gas, nausea, and indigestion; frequency and / or urgency of urination in the absence of an infection; unexplained weight gain or weight loss; pelvic and / or abdominal swelling, bloating and / or feeling of fullness; ongoing unusual fatigue; or unexplained changes in bowel habits. If symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, ask your doctor for a combination pelvic / rectal exam, CA-125 blood test, and transvaginal ultrasound. Minga Guerrero DC

Hey Charlie,

Suggestion of 'just doing kegels' is a crazy-making term to any female over the age of 35 ..... how is it male docs - who work with neurology and its impact on life on a daily basis - will jump to the conslusion that it is 'only an exercise concern'?! Talk about sexism! ..... and I know: you are only espousing the common remedy ... which in itself is insulting! (sorry...nothing personal and thanks for the rant!;'-)

Seems to me this may have as much to do with sacral neurology as anything or any other trauma does. Remember the dual pathway theory? Wouldn't an episode of that length fatigue neural receptors into dysfunction? A kink of that nature could compress the superior entrance of the meatus, making it unresistant to 'full' signals .... thos recptors are still hypersensitive to ANY pressure. Here's where I agree with Minga....an internal 'swab' of those mucosal fibers - a massage if you will - could do wonders to 'reset' them. Making sure the coccyx is seated would be smart as well. Sometimes these internal moves are very necessary.

.....just expressing a possibility ...

Wasn't being sexist I do them and instruct male just as well as female pts on how to do them properly. I guess I should have been more specific. I agree with the neurology and presumed other docs did as well. Dr Freedman did mention he treating his "patient" again I presumed he was addressing that issue with adjustment. I did not think he needed a lesson in neurology as we all have had it before and practice it every day!!!!! For you to jump on that sexist band waggon and include your "rant" is sexist and demeaning in itself
