Guest guest Posted August 27, 2010 Report Share Posted August 27, 2010 Hello everyone, I have been on the diet for about four months now and things have been going fairly well. I have experienced a few die-off symptoms (bumps on skin, diarrhea, etc.) and have felt extremely lethargic since starting (which is largely due to the fact that I stopped taking my thyroid hormones for my hypoactive thyroid condition at the same time that I started this diet--hoping I don't feel this way forever!) My question is that I am going on a trip to see my mom for four days in a month and I already know that I will cheat a bit on the diet. Up until now I have been very strict with what I eat and the supplements. How badly is 4-5 " cheat " meals in a 4 day period going to disrupt this diet? Will it be like starting from scratch when I get back? Is there anything I can do when I return from the trip to accelerate my recovery again? I won't indulge in sweets while gone, but I do plan on eating sandwiches and bbq (since I will be going to Memphis, after all). Thank you very much! Any words of help will be greatly appreciated as all of you know that this lifestyle change is extremely difficult requires great discipline.
