Hi,

My son Austin and I have been on Bee's diet since June 2010. I've was taking HCL

long before I learned of Bee's info but have noticed that since doing Bee's diet

I don't do well on HCL. Last night my son had a bad experience with the HCL. He

is in martial arts and was tested last night for the next belt. I could tell he

was not doing well. It was his gut. He had taken the HCL before going last night

(I feel bad because I suggested it). I could tell his core was not well. He has

a weak constitution anyways compared to the other kids but he was really

struggling last night. Shoulders were slumped, could barely do his kicks, down

in the mouth look, etc. He did pass and was promoted to the next belt.

Should we keep taking the HCL or not? Is it causing die off/healing reactions or

maybe we just don't need it any longer.

I find that if my son and I feel nauseous in our gut that the baking soda

resolves it the best. Also if my son gets heartburn the baking soda helps him. I

don't know why that is but we get relief. I (and my son) used to get relief from

our digestive problems with HCL. Now that we have changed what we eat we find

the HCL isn't working as well.

Any explanation for this? Should we continue HCL? Is it okay to continue taking

the baking soda with gut distress?

Thanks so much,

Cassandra

Thanks Bee for your reply,

I don't know if he has undigested food in his stools (I can look) and he hasn't

ever seemed to have the digestive problems I've had like with food just sitting

in my stomach like a big lump. He has struggled with heartburn for several years

(he's 16 y.o.). Salt used to remedy it but recently it doesn't seem to help,

it's the baking soda that helps.

I know that for at least 2 years we were taking HCL after every meal with no

problem. Since I've started your diet I don't take it at all because when I do I

seem to feel worse. I didn't know if we should continue trying to take it maybe

at different times after a meal so we can get the protection that HCL provides

(ex. parasites). Or maybe we don't need it every meal, just once a day.

We've concluded that baking soda helps us best when we have digestive issues,

nausea (from fat), etc, but we would still add HCL if needed.

Thanks,

Cassandra

it if his digestion is okay. Does your son have poor digestion, i.e. undigested

foods in his stools, heartburn (GERD), food sitting in his stomach that feels

like a lump, etc.

+++Hi Cassandra. Since your son struggled with heartburn for several years his

body will " retrace " each and every past episode while he is healing - see this

article:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal10.php

+++I had to retrace every ulcer attack, GERD, etc. and when that is happening

taking HCl doesn't help since the body has to do its thing. I only took baking

soda too, and it helped.

+++HCl may help kill parasites but if it doesn't, parasites are readily killed

in the small intestines since parasites are mostly protein which are digested by

enzymes from the pancreas and intestinal lining that are even stronger than HCl.

+++Just use baking soda, and not HCl.

Hi Bee,

I burp up everything, the noises my stomach makes and the bloating. Plus my

stools are never well formed. When I am able to go, it is very loose and

dark green. How do I know hcl is doing its job? Could it be causing the

tiredness & lethargy along w/ brain fog?

Also, usually after breakfast which is 2 eggs w/ 2 tbsp of CO & 1 tbsp NOW

NYFlakes( 1 vit E, 1tbsp CLO & 1 Vit C), my heart starts racing.

Thank you very much Bee!

Hi Bee,

Thank you for this. I always cook my vegetables for at least 30 minutes and mash

them up or I throw food in blender. I have been drinking water with my meals as

well. So, I don't think the burping is from consuming raw foods. It also happens

when I sip water sometimes or when I start walking..it's really strange.

As for HCL, even if I am not digesting my food properly..you don't think I

should take it. Are you saying that eventually my digestion will improve without

enzymes, probiotics or HCL? You don't think I need any support?

Here goes a few things I forgot to mention to you that gastroenterologist said

when I had my endoscopy and colonoscopy back in August.

1) I am having malabsorption issues in your intestines.

2) I have melanosis coli in colon which is a form of cell death that results

from extended use of herbal laxatives.

3) My stomach has several little points of chemical injury. He couldn't

specify what chemical, it could be from anything vitamins, herbal supplements,

old medication, whatever.

4) The bottom part of my stomach (called the antrum) suffers chronic inactive

gastritis. Basically the cells that make my stomach juices aren't working so

well and I have constant inflammation in that area. H.pylori is the common cause

of this but I tested negative.

Any thoughts?

Thank you so much Bee!

That's simply crazy!

wouldn't only be burping and having noises, unless you haven't described all

your symptoms.

Hi Bee,

None. I am only taking your supplements since January 1st. The burping

started after I took all of the ayurvedic doctors supplements and herbs back

in March.

Thanks again!

+++Hi Jess,

So that was before you got the diagnosis from the gastroenterologist, which was

in August:

1. How many month/weeks did you take those ayurvedic doctors supplements and

herbs? Did you only stop them when you started taking my supplements January

1st?

2. What symptoms caused you to see the doctor, other than burping?

3. What did the doctor recommend be done so your symptoms would improve?

4. Did you follow any of their recommendations, and if so, what, and for how

long?

Thank you for answering my questions, so I can help you better.

All the best, Bee

+++Hi Jess. Thank you for explaining that to me. I understand better what was

going on with you.

>>>However I don't know what to do about the burping and digestion issue. I know

that is the root of my problem. Plus I keep getting those red lines through out

my eyes that I mentioned to you.

1. Do not be concerned about burping since it is not a digestive issue. Burping

releases air that got into the stomach, which can happen when a person is

stressed and swallows more air while they are drinking fluids or eating. This

can also cause stomach noises and gurgles. Drinking fluids through a straw

helps, and it also helps to do deep breathing exercises prior to eating or

drinking fluids to lessen your stress so you don't swallow so much air:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/breath4.php

2. Everyone gets gas which causes bloating from time to time, so it isn't a

digestive issue either, and has more to do with how much indigestible material

gets into the large intestines.

3. Loose dark green stools are caused by your body detoxifying itself, so it

isn't a digestive issue either, since diarrhea is created by your body in order

to get rid of toxins, which is a good thing. The green color indicates that it

is chemical toxins being eliminated.

4. If you aren't having a bowel movement every day that isn't a problem either,

since some people who are healthy only have bowel movements every 2-3 days.

5. However, if you went on this program too fast, your bowels will slow down

and you can even be constipated, which is explained in an article you should

have been following to go on this program called

Curing Candida, How to Get Started:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php

6. Red eyes are because your body is getting rid of toxins through your eyes,

which is also normal to happen on this program since your body is becoming more

and more able to detoxify itself like it should.

So those are the reasons I believe you do NOT need to take HCl (hydrochloric

acid) supplements.

Onward & Upward, Bee

ok Bee. I will trust what you are saying but I think the burping isn't

normal. Also, the red eyes started before your program. I am going to

continue the diet and supplements without the hcl to see how it goes.

Another thing though, is it normal to feel high after eating with the

coconut oil? I am doing 2 tbsp w/ each meal and I add ghee with lunch and

dinner. I know I probably went too fast but I think the fats is what keeps my

hunger down. I haven't had olive oil in a while. Hope this is ok?

I've also been having nightmares/weird dreams and waking up

every night..usually 4:00 a.m., last night 3:30 a.m. to urinate (sorry for all

the details) and my heart is usually racing around 7:00 a.m. when I get up. Do

you think this has to do w/ thyroid/adrenals/cortisol?

Thank you

+++Hi Jess. Of course it is normal to burp. Healthy people have to burp or

belch when air gets into their stomach, which has to come out some way. I burp

more when I'm stressed because I tend to swallow more air and so do other

people.

Also, the red eyes started before your program. I am going to

> continue the diet and supplements without the hcl to see how it goes.

+++Whether your red eyes started before or after my program it doesn't matter

since there are only a couple of reason for red eyes: 1) toxins being released

through them, and 2) injury.

+++Yes it is normal to feel high on CO, because it is wonderful for increasing

metabolism, meaning the speed at which your body processes everything it needs

to. Try to have at least 1 tbsp. olive oil 3 times a week.

+++Having nightmares can be caused by toxins being released. There's nothing

wrong with getting up to go to the bathroom.

+++A racing heart in the morning is because your body detoxifies more during

early morning hours while you are sleeping, so it is nothing to be concerned

about. It has nothing to do with health issues since everyone's body operates

the same way. The only difference is that healthy people have less toxins to

get rid of and their bodies are more efficient detoxifying themselves.

Morning Bee,

I forgot to ask you one thing. Being that the gastrointerologist said the

bottom part of my stomach (called the antrum) suffers chronic inactive

gastritis. Basically the cells that make my stomach juices aren't working so

well and I have constant inflammation in that area. H.pylori is the common

cause of this but I tested negative. Is it still ok for me to drink water

with my meals or will this inhibit enzyme production?

Many thanks,

Jess

+++Hi Jess,

Gastritis means there is an inflammation of the lining of the stomach. Inactive

means it is NOT happening now. However, tests can indicate it may have happened

in the past, so that's why it is called " inactive gastritis. "

Does your stomach hurt? If it doesn't your stomach is not inflammed now.

Yes, of course you should always drink water with your meals, since it is very

important for digestion and helps your body produce the enzymes it needs for

digestion.

You should have read How to Successfully Overcome Candida:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php

That article has a section " Improve Digestion " which explains how your body

digests food, etc. that you need to read very carefully:
