Guest guest
Thanks for info on potassium. I was riddled with pain and exhaustion. More so then my normal firbomyalgia pain and tiredness which is already excruciating. I actually thought it was my liver, so this time around I will try potassium. My doc had said banannas cause you to stop losing for 12 hours so I stopped eating them. Hence, I was losing my potassium from them as a source as well. Boardwalk for $500? In 2007? Ha! Guest guest
Muscle weakness comes from low thyroid. I have experienced that. The more run down I was getting the last few years the less weight I could lift working out. I thought Potassium was more about cramps and stuff. Guest guest
Well that's the thing - muscle weakness can be caused by so many different things! I know I am hypothyroid but I really feel like the iodine is improving that because for one thing my constipation is way better since increasing my iodine (yay for that victory) .... but the weakness seems worse :-( It's just so hard to know what's going on!! I wish I could afford testing every day or every month or something!! -Marlena > > > > > > > > I was wondering if anyone has this symptom and might be able to help > > > shed some light on it > > > > for me... > > > > > > > > I have had 'chronic fatigue' for a few years now and have both > > > fatigue and muscle weakness > > > > which I would characterize as 2 different symptoms. Guest guest
I had that same painless, rubbery weakness prior to an 's dx. It is similar to how legs are weak and wobbly after hard exercise, but without the pain. There is pain elsewhere though.vsloss1 <vsloss1@...> wrote: Hi Marlena- I too have the fatigue and muscle weakness of chronic fatigue, but I am too new at this to shed any light on the situation. Guest guest
Thank you for your feedback. Can I ask you a few more questions? Only answer if you feel like it - I am trying to learn and find answers, not trying to be nosey!! 's is beyond low adrenals right? Do you feel better on adrenal hormone replacement? What has helped you with that? Do you take Cortef? Or other adrenal support? How does iodine affect you? Salt? Potassium? These are things I struggle to stay balanced with and I never know quite what's going on ... I know low adrenals can cause muscle weakness but my last test showed my morning cortisol a teensy bit high and normal for the rest of the day. But I know cortisol levels can change day to day and it's possible that somedays it is not high enough ... Thanks!! It seems that it is the bromide being release from the body that causes this. With a couple days off here and there, I do the salt loading protocol almost every am and am still detoxing, but the symptoms have been greatly reduced. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Sorry for the previous accidental post. I'll look into the 's dx. Thanks. As of this morning, I feel wonderful! The second day on 100 mg, I took a walk this morning and none of the sidewalk bumps jumped up and got me, no weakness, no stumbling, no staggering..... Guest guest
With 's you must take cortisol and perhaps florinef or die. You may still feel pretty bad, but you won't die! Good enuf for many doctors. After many months and years of bizarre illnesses and aches and pains, and severe salt craving, I was admitted to ER with a 8.8 potassium, along with every other measurement being wildly skewed. They got rid of the excess K with a special concoction of resin and laxative to carry it out. After 4 days in ICU I was released. My K was tracked and controlled with same nasty stuff. I was asked what I was doing or taking to keep my potassium running back up to 6, & above. It took about 6 months of this before a nephrologist checked aldosterone & told me I was autoimmune ian and put me first on Florinef (.2) and then on Prednisone (bad news for me). I found an internal med guy with a sub specialty in endocrine. He put me on Cortef (20mg) and worked the Florinef around until I had a stable K. I joined an 's group because I still was weak and sick and had no life outside work. And no spark and finally no memory at work.A year ago I finally quit because I knew I was no longer able to do my best work. That group led me to thyroid groups. Only then did I start to see the fact that I had lost my thyroid to a goiter a long time ago, may have been related to the 's. I finally talked the doc into giving me Armour instead of the levo I had been taking for over 30 yrs. I have also begun the Lugol's. I admit to being a little afraid of the potassium excretion problem I have, but I also begin to hope for at least partial repair of the adrenal glands.I use a B/P monitor to help me with the balance. Low means adrenal problems for me. I watch for cravings of salt. My sodium levels in blood tests run low to normal. My BUN and Creatinine always run high. My TSH seems to move around a lot and before I went on the Armour (3 wks ago) levo was adjusted frequently. I have never done the saliva test. I don't know how effective it would be with me being on these meds, so I can't tell you how my cortisol is now. No one has checked it in over 5 years. I doubt if this has done much to answer your questions, and I'm sorry it is so long. Especially for the people I recognize from other sites who already kindly put up with my excessive verbage!Betsymarlenaappletree <marlenaappletree@...> wrote: Thank you for your feedback. Guest guest
Marlena,Hopefully, I will be able to balance the stress by increasing the Cortef. The iodine makes so much sense. As far as the potassium, I had high measurements several times in the past that would disappear the next time because it is dynamic. The doc's never considered it a problem...which must mean your adrenals slowly die while no one is alert to the signals.Betsymarlenaappletree <marlenaappletree@...> wrote: Dear Betsy, Thank you for sharing some of your story. And It does answer some of my questions. I always expected my potassium to be high like yours but tests revealed it never was. Although I had some symptoms of 's, like the fatigue and muscle weakness, my adrenals seem to be producing cortisol - sometimes high, sometimes low, sometimes normal ... I am glad you have found some answers. I hope the iodine helps your adrenals (and mine too!) as I've read that it should! Though some people are saying the detoxification triggered by iodine puts a stress on them ... Best, Marlena > > With 's you must take cortisol and perhaps florinef or die. Guest guest
Hi Bee, I have a bit of a problem with my muscles. I have had Candida since I was 12-13 (anitbiotic overuse). I have been seriously trying treating it for the last 4 years but never got to serious about until now when I lost my full time job due to muscle pain/tension. My muscle tension started last year. I noticed that it did not recover from a minor strain for a very long time. This year it is worse. I feel as if my muscles are shrinking. I am full of Candida so I know this is a minerals imbalance. I am doing some hair analysis to check it out what exactly is missing. I am taking calcium 500mg (250 twice per day as per your instructions), magnesium and potassium (in potassium compound salt). I am also very acidic. I drink Sodium Bicard with one lemon 3-4 times a day to keep my urine and saliva PH above 5. I started your diet and got the supplements from iherb today. I could not eat vegies (apart from broccoli) for the last 3 years until my last anti fungal treatment with bacillus Laterosporus (BOD). Before that I had terrible burning after eating anything. Now I can follow your basic diet. I read about HCI on your web. I hope this will help too. I am a bit confused about those bicar drink with sodium and potassium. Is there anything you would let me read or advice to sort this muscle issue, I can barely walk. By the way, I sleep well (uless muscle pain wakes me up) and have plenty of energy - so it is not fibromylgia etc.
Guest guest
Probably it is good to mention that I have been on a very restricted diet for the last 2-3 years: Buckwheat, Lamb meat, broccoli, Lipton tea. Candida did not allow me to drink plain water or anything cold. I was also taking Myrrh tincture from pure herbs. It was the only thing that helped to control the acid in my mouth after eating and all allergies and rushes I had for years. I have not seen salt for over 2 years and after my last antifnugla treatment which unlocked something I started eating salt. I eat kilos of Celtic Sea Salt, I feel so hungry for salt and lime juice. I recon Tri Salt is something I could benefit from. Will appreciate any feedback.

By the way, I sleep well (uless muscle pain wakes me up) and have plenty of energy - so it is not fibromylgia etc. +++Hi . If you are new, welcome! Just because you have plenty of energy doesn't mean you do not have fibromyalgia. Fibromyalgia simply means " muscle fiber pain, " which is caused by toxins that accumulate in the muscles when your body isn't capable of detoxifying itself properly. The reasons a person is unable to detoxify are the same reasons for all Failing Health: 1. Lack of proper nutrition and oxygen. 2. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste. 3. Lowered vitality due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, relationship or financial worries and concerns, etc. 4. Nutritional status inherited from your parents upon conception, which can be corrected by proper nutrition. Mineral balance can play a role, but there are other nutrients just as important as minerals since all nutrients work together. A hair analysis won't give you the information you need to get your minerals back in balance. That is because minerals can only be absorbed and utilized if you consume " mineral activators " which are the " good " fats I recommend along with omega 3, vitamins A, D & E. A hair analysis does not give you that information; it simply says which ones are high and low. Also your body is smart enough to balance out all of its nutrient levels if you just give it the " basics " which is this diet and supplements. Ensure you take the correct amounts of calcium and magnesium citrate which is 300 mg of each twice a day (not 250 mg), a total of 600 mg of each - see these supplement references: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/supp1.php http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/supp7.php Please do not take any potassium since you will get plenty from this diet. Also drinking baking soda won't help since taking the amount you do acts like a diuretic which makes the body gets rid of water and minerals along with it. You are not acidic, instead you are toxic, but it is an easy mistake to make. The whole acidity/alkalinity theory is false - see these articles: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu5_1.php Please ensure you read these two important articles: How to Successfully Overcome Candida: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration see these wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php After reading get back to us. Guest guest
Thanx Bee, I know you are right, I am toxic like hell. I am following the diet already, just calculated my intakes and got suplements. I am doing Stool DNA test to see what is happening in my intestine. I think it might be useful. I am so toxic.. I feel this rush of toxin mostly one week before the fool moon. It has been like that for the last 15 years. My eczema gets worse during that time, then the healing happen and it gets better. My hair is also itchy. I know it will take time. You r right about my life etc stress. I am changing it all as we speak (looking for a part time job etc). I do the test in here (USA www.metametrix.com.au (test is called GI Effects Complete Profile - Stool) I know it is Candida. It is everywhere. Thankx for your input, I will follow as of today with calcium and magnesium. I will let you know how I go. To avoid mistakes I will have a go with all what you have on the web for a few weks and then get in touch with you for a consultation to review if I do all correctly. Thank you > > > > Hi Bee, > > I have a bit of a problem with my muscles. > > The reasons a person is unable to detoxify are the same reasons for all Failing Health: > 1. Lack of proper nutrition and oxygen. > 2. Accumulation of toxins, poisons, and waste. > 3. Lowered vitality due to stress, shock, injury, emotional upsets, relationship or financial worries and concerns, etc. > 4. Guest guest
Hi Bee and all, so I am having legs cramps that are really painful as I get back on this program. I am wondering about potassium as I have a hunch I am low, what foods on diet as you say below Bee are high in Potassium? Thanks Mike > > Ensure you take the correct amounts of calcium and magnesium citrate which is 300 mg of each twice a day (not 250 mg), a total of 600 mg of each - see these supplement references: > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/supp1.php > http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/supp7.php > > Please do not take any potassium since you will get plenty from this diet.
