Toddler always hungry

Hi Bee and others,

We started the food plan five days ago. The second day my toddler was so

sleepy. After resting on the couch and napping for half the day she was back to

her normal self.

Today she didn't feel satisfied and wanted to eat more than usual. I haven't

calculated calories but she has had more ghee, coconut oil, cod liver oil and

protein than she ever has.

Could the low carbohydrates be causing this feeling of still being hungry? Are

there any studies that show children thriving on a low carbohydrate food plan?

Based on Dr. Prices discoveries I guesss there are plenty of examples. lol

Thanks,

Hi ,

Many people feel hungry when they first start on Bee's diet until they can get

their fat intake up high enough. The hunger will pass as she is able to

eat/tolerate more fat.

There aren't any scientific studies that show that children thrive on a low carb

diet, but there aren't any studies that show that they thrive on a higher carb

program either. This is a comment I got from Dr. Uffe Ravnskov, MD, PhD when I

asked him the same question. :o)

+++Hi ,

Hopefully you changed over to this diet slowly, otherwise you get more symptoms

and reactions than are necessary - see Curing Candida, How to Get Started:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php

Like wrote it is common for anyone to feel hungry when first starting on

this program until they can get their fat intake up high enough to switch their

body over from running on fats instead of running on carbs/glucose.

The Eskimo and Masai tribe children are great examples of no-carbs being

healthy, since they only consumed meats and good fats.

Carbs are not essential for human health anyway - see these articles:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu3_2_1.php

Children needs the same set of nutrients adults do, since all human bodies are

exactly the same, just like animals of the same species are in the wild. As Dr.

Weston A. Price writes in his book Nutrition and Physical Degeneration:

" We humans have the same rigid restrictions regarding food selection as the

simpler forms of life when foods are evaluated from their chemical basis. " page

464

" Also, it is not necessary to adopt the foods of any particular racial stock,

but only to make our nutrition adequate in all its nutritive factors to the

primitive nutrition. Tooth decay is not only unnecessary, but an indication of

our divergence from Nature's fundamental laws of life and health. " page 415

All the best, Bee
