Guest guest
Hi, Bee. It seems like I remember you mentioning to someone to get their thyroid tested and you might be able to tell them how to cut back on the meds. So, I'm wondering if there's a chance I can cut mine back sometime in the future. I switched to Armour (1 1/2 tablets 30 mg) seven weeks ago after taking Synthroid (0.05 mg) for maybe 4 or 5 years. Just received the following results of a thyroid test: From June 29, 2010: Free T3 = 3.1 (reference range 2.3-4.2) Free T4 = 0.9 (reference range 0.8-1.7) TSH, Ultrasensitive = 0.955 (reference range 0.350-5.500) A previous test from November 11, 2009 before switching to Armour was: Free T3 = 2.6 Free T4 = 1.2 TSH Ultrasensitive = 1.097 I am feeling loads better, whether from the diet or the thyroid change I don't know, possibly a combination. My burping is gone, gone, gone, and my weight has stabilized at a decent place for me (118). Just hoping, Sharon (62 yrs old in Sept.)
