If one wants to slow down the aging and degenerative process, as well as to profoundly lower their susceptibility to disease, one needs to maintain a low carb ratio or remain in/near ketosis state. The science is in, read on! " AGEs " - simply means getting older & degenerating and one would be right in their definition. However, in the scientific community it means " Advanced Glycation End products " . Which in short is not far from the same definition. Notice the middle word " GLYCATION " which refers to a SUGAR process. You will find although both proteins and sugars are involved in the process of creating Advanced Glycation End products it is excess SUGAR that is the true source of the problem. Research over the last 20 years has implicated AGEs in most of the diseases associated with aging like: * Alzheimer's disease * Cancer * Heart disease * Type II diabetes * Kidney disorders * Atherosclerosis * High blood pressure * Stroke * Visual impairment * Skin disorders As one can see, the destructive capacity of Advanced Glycation End products is enormous. I've submitted this aforementioned information, since I realize from observations and communications, people may need some validation why a ketogenic/low carb diet plays such an important role in overall Health. Lastly, I'd like to add, that Metabolic typesetting, Blood typesetting and similar should be consider a lot of new fangled mumbo jumbo. This just confuses the people unnecesarily. If one considers people in history, they did not need such methods to choose how to eat, they accordingly ate to their nutritional needs or hunger. If at times the body required more protein, they ate more sources of protein. Same applies to Fat and natural Carbohydrates. This is instinctive and requires no special methods or thinking. Thus, how false & transparent these new fangled methods, mentioned. Fundamentally, as Bee states, all human beings have the same " BASIC " nutritional needs, regardless of racial stock or otherwise.
