Guest guest
Sally: I read many years ago that people with Low Thyroid have short eyebrows with nothing on the end, like mine. Don't know why. Bonnie Thyroid and hair loss It's been just over 6 weeks that i've been taking the vco etc. My hair is still as strong and thick as ever even though i have thyroid issues. I have noticed over the last couple of years however my eyebrows have not grown hardly at all. I plucked them into thin shape when i was much younger and used to have to tidy them up at least once a week. Since i've had problems i have gone months without plucking them. I noticed this morning i had some dark long hairs that need dealing with. My eyebrows are very short as well and don't grow right up to the end. Why does the thyroid affect eyebrows and with some people hair in general? I think this is a good sign anyway so i welcome it. Sally

Guest guest
Hi, Bee, Now that I've dealt with my daughter's skin bite, I can ask for some advice about me, lol. In the last month, I have noticed considerable hair loss and I am wondering if I am having thyroid issues. I also have brittle nails. Am I lacking in some vitamin or something is missing from my diet? I do tend to eat the same things every day. I have been having the Egg Drink for breakfast, for lunch, a salad with grilled chicken, and dinner is usually broccoli or other veggies sauteed in coconut oil, topped off with butter, and a protein (grass-fed burger, pork, salmon, chicken with skin), and I have crispy walnuts or macadamia nuts (soaked and dried) as a snack on most days. I do cheat occasionally. I have been reading 's website about thyroid and how his patients are tested for thyroid and the results are always fine, but they still have a problem and have been on T3 medication temporarily until their temps are up and stable and then, they stop the medication and are fine. Of course, I really don't want to take anything. I've even put off going to the doctor to get the blood tests. I don't want to be pressured into any meds if I do have a problem. What do I do? Should I be tested? How do you recommend I proceed? Other than the extreme hair loss (which reminds me of post-partum hair loss), brittle nails, and an inability to lose any weight, the only other symptoms I have is that I seem to retain water and can't wear my wedding rings. I read this is another symptom of thyroid dysfunction. I am 41, mom of two kids. Thanks Bee. And Happy 4th!

I read this is another symptom of thyroid dysfunction. +++Hi , It is very common for candida sufferers and people who are unhealthy to have low thyroid function. The main reason is because the adrenals are overstressed so they are unable to handle normal thyroid hormone output, so the thyroid senses this and lowers it production. Of course as you progress on this program your adrenals will normalize along with your thyroid, so it is good you aren't taking any thyroid meds. Your hair loss will stop eventually like it has for many others on this program - do a search on this page of Success Stories for hair loss: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php Your brittle nails are mainly caused by toxins coming out and us gals have used a lot of toxins on our nails, i.e. nail polish, polish removers, etc., in addition to contact with house cleaning products, toxic lotions, etc. Many people have reported strange things happening when their nails detoxify. I used to do oil paintings and my nails detoxified turpentine and many oil paint colors - you can't miss the color black. I've had men who do painting for a living report their nails detoxified too. So hang in there, since this too shall pass. All the best, Bee
