Hi

My name is Al, and I am 47 years old. For at least 10 years at least I have had

all the symptoms associated with candida. It wasn't until a month and a half ago

that I came across an article on the net which started my suspicion that I had

candida.Over next week I applied the scientific method to confirm it by eating

something very sweet (symptoms would flare up), few days later I would only

inocuous stuff (nothing but fresh veggies, fish, etc) symptoms would then

dramatically decrease. In addition I did the saliva test asn well as another

questionaire-based test. Everything indicated I had a yeast infection and I had

had it for many many years.

This evil condition has cost me many jobs (information technology) due to lack

of sleep (mostly because of bloatiness),brain fog, mood swings, headaches,

complete inability to concentrate, I can go on forever. My supporting (and

infinitly loving and patient) wife has been the only support I've had, but I can

see how anyone without some kind of support would start thinking about suicide

because life becomes an impossible struggle.

I am sorry my first exposure to information on this condition was not Bee's site

(found it today really and makes a ton of sense). However, for a month or so I

have been on a diet that is very similar to Bee's which restrict anything that

feeds yeast especially sugar and processed flours) so it is the right step.

However, no feeling well still I went to a doctor and amazingly it was an

exercise in persuasion to convince him that I must have a candida infection. He

came around at some point due to the overwhelming proof I had and wrote a

prescription for fluconazole. I am very desperate now because I now have another

new job and I will be devasted if I lose it on account of performance again. I

need a stronger start in addition to the yeast diet, so my big question is can I

get going of fluconazole? It is not a easy decision as it seems I need a second

mortgage to pay for it , but also no knowing what the collective wisdom is on

this drug.

Your help would be a blessing

Thanks in advance

Al
