Have you heard this and if so, what is your advice? > +++Hi Lynn, Doctors, the medical field and drug companies are getting more and more into bashing supplements. However, they don't have a clue about the correct combination of nutrients needed, so they recommend taking high doses of calcium without magnesium, which can cause a lot of problems. They also don't recommend " mineral activators " which are all of the good fats I recommend, along with cod liver oil, nor other trace minerals, etc. My sister is a nurse and she was appalled that her doctor recommended very high calcium without magnesium, and extremely high vitamin D from a perscription with no omega 3 or vitamin A. Vitamin D only works along with the combination of fats I recommend. , High vitamin D causes a toxic overdose, as we've found out from a few members of this group. " More is not better. " That's why I recommend calcium and magnesium in equal amounts, along with other supplements that help your body absorb and utilize all minerals. Of course the diet plus supplements I recommend all work together. See my supplement recommendations here: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/supp1.php Here's a handy supplements chart: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/supp7.php Your body is smart enough to balance out all of its nutrients levels if it is gets what it needs to do its job, which is simply this diet plus only the supplements recommended. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
Hi Bee, my doctor also prescribed huge doses of calcium and vit d without magnesium. 1000 mg x2 daily. I cut them up now to your recommended dose and buy my own magnesium. Thank you bee, your advice is always reassuring.
