However, I would like to include them back in to my diet. If I were to consume coconut oil, olive oil, etc. at the same time I eat vegetables would that help my digestion? +++Hi Tom, Yes you should always have oils, fats, protein and carbs, along with supplements, together, since all nutrients work together. Ensure you cook your vegetables well enough to breakdown their cell walls as this article explains: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/veg2.php Bee
Guest guest
Thanks, Bee. I'm going to try to add peas and green beans back in to my diet. Can you tell me if steaming them for a few minutes is enough to break down their cell walls? Tom > > > > Hello, Bee, how are you? Guest guest
> > Thanks, , but what if I ate a half of cup without eating any other carbs that day? +++Hi Tom. is right that you shouldn't have peas and beans from pods (string, green, yellow and wax beans are okay). This diet is selective as to the " kinds of carbs " that are okay to consume, and each one is low in sugars and starches. So this diet isn't only about the total carbs you consume in a day because it is very important the " kinds of carbs " consumed. I suggest you review my candida article which discusses why this diet does not include grains, legumes (peas and beans from pods), and high-carb foods like carrots, beets, etc. Cheers, Bee
