Hi there,

I am lactose intolerant and I use ghee instead of butter. It is basically just

butterfat, with the solids removed. You can find it in supermarkets with the

indian food. All dairy products, including butter, give me really bad acne. So

far no probs with the ghee, will keep my fingers crossed!

Hope this helps,

Bern

lactose.

Axel,

Butter is ok on this diet. It's the only dairy product that is recommended and

the lactose is minimal.

If you are having trouble with butter you might try ghee instead. You can either

buy it or make it. I believe there is a recipe on Bee's site or you can find one

using Google.

Hei (Polstar?)

I just want to share that I am/was lactose and milkprotein intolerant, and I got

some similar reactions when I started Butter on this program, but they faded

away, and I eat tons of butter nowadays. maybe you can try it after a longer

time on the diet again, in very small amounts to minimize healing reactions and

then increase the daily intake. that way I got butter and eggs back in my diet

and currently I am increasing garlic, which also gave me a hard time before the

diet (yeah, food allergies ;)) Dont be too concerned about so called

intolerances and " food allergies " as they turn for so many members of this group

out to be simply detox/healing reactions which disappear soon :)

Bee has some great articles about why you cant be allergic or intolerant to

natures good food, its really encouraging!

Hope that helps :)

Thank to all.

I was sick so I tried ghee too, but it doesn't taste as good as normal butter.

But If you say then I will try it again. Maybe I just singe it.

But can be healing reaction after normal butter??

+++Hi Bern,

Acne is because of toxins coming out through the skin, which is a good thing,

and a common healing/detoxifying symptom, just like all other abnormal skin

eruptions, including warts, skin tags, aging spots, rashes, psoriasis, excema,

etc., etc.

Our bodies are designed to consume good unadulterated foods in order to be

healthy, but of course sugars, high starches and high carbs have been known to

cause disease for thousands of years.

Good healing foods like butter do not cause acne, however they can increase your

body's ability to detoxify - see Healing Foods, Herbs & Spices Causes Healing

Reactions:

http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/heal14.php

Also your acne will increase and get worse before it gets better because of how

the body heals itself. Your body will also " retrace " any and all previous

episodes with acne while it is healing itself.

See these articles to understand healing and retracing:

To minimize healing and detoxifying reactions start with small amounts and

slowly increase them, but you cannot avoid the natural healing symptoms and

reactions.

The best to you, Bee

+++Hi Axel,

Yes, you can get healing and detoxifying reactions by having normal butter. So

just start with small amounts and slowly increase them so you are able to

tolerate your symptoms and reactions better.

However, you cannot avoid getting such reactions because that is how the body

heals itself naturally. So you should push through them unless they severely

interfere with your ability to function.

Cheers, Bee
