Guest guest
> > Hi Bee: > > I am new to this group and have recently come to realize that I have a candida overgrowth and started the candida diet. +++Hi . Welcome to our group. > > In the past several years I have suffered on and off from frequent yeast infections, vertigo, dizziness, ear issues (clicking/fullness). > > This year (2010) I began to feel not like myself--getting sick all the time--feeling overly fatigued, having little bouts of constipation, increased lactose intolerance--therefore taking dairy aid pills (lots of sugar I realize now!). But what made me currently start the candida diet and realize that I have a candida overgrowth, is that three months ago I began to get chronic headaches-sinus pain, some brain fuzziness, and dark circles under my eyes. > > I am currently on my third week of the diet and have basically cut out all dairy, yeast, wheat, sugar entirely. I am eating lots of good veggies, meats (as a vegetarian for many years this is new!), and good fats. I find that it is not that difficult--and that I don't crave the foods I have eliminated very much. +++That's great! Well done! I am taking oil of oregano in pill form, eating Virgin Coconut Oil in little bits throughout the day (never more than a teaspoon and half right now) and eating a fair amount of cooked and raw garlic and drinking water with ACV and GSE once daily. I am also oil pulling with VCO every morning. +++You do not need to take any antifungal like oil of oregano, garlic, GSE, etc. I only recommend unrefined coconut oil because of its many other health benefits, but not because it happens to be antifungal. +++The reason I don't recommend antifungals is because Candida cannot be cured by " killing it off. " Candida is only cured by building up the immune system, which is done by: 1) Consuming " proper nutrients " (diet plus supplements), 2) Eliminating toxins and foods that feed candida (they also feed bacteria and cancer), 3) Eliminating damaging foods, and 4) Eliminating toxins in general. When the immune system is strong enough it will automatically " make " candida (or any bug, cancer, etc.) change back into the organism it is supposed to be when the body is healthy. It's like the manure pile and the flies, with the manure pile representing the poor condition of the body. You cannot get rid of the manure pile by killing off the flies. You must clean up the manure pile. +++Also, taking so many at one time is just overwhelming your body and producing more symptoms and reactions than are necessary. Taking them does not speed up the healing/detoxifying processes since it still takes 1 month of natural healing for every year you've been unhealthy, and for most people today that is since before they were born. > > I notice that my headaches' intensity has increased significantly and I am wondering if this is due to die off and my ears have been getting kinda stuffier and having some pain. Also, I am wondering about how long it will take for my headaches to go away completely and my dark circles to disappear? +++I am eliminating the use of the term " die-off " because I found out it was created in order to explain away the effects of antibiotics, which is misleading and wrong - I'm still re-writing my articles to correct that. Antibiotics and other toxins are poisonous to the body, so it is understandable the body will protest by trying to get rid of it by going into action creating detoxifying and healing reactions. > > I am really looking forward to healing my body as I feel like it has been out of whack for this entire year (2010) for sure and maybe going back several years (to about 2006). > > Another question is once I have overcome the candida overgrowth in my body, will I eventually be able to eat in moderation some of the foods that I have eliminated now? I do love dark chocolate, yummy cheese, and good bread! And would be sad to eliminate them entirely for the rest of my life! +++It is way too soon to get into that. It has also been discussed many times on this group so you can search our Messages to find them. +++My program is very different from others, and that is why it is an overall healing program that improves anyone's health even if they do not have candida. You will understand once you read about it: So please ensure you read two important articles: How to Successfully Overcome Candida: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php Curing Candida, How to Get Started: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro1.php For encouragement and inspiration see these wonderful Success Stories by members of this group: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/index.php The best in health, Bee

I'm not thinking of me, but DD is only 5 and i would like to investigate why she should continue to be on Bee's diet after healing...I've looked into the Optimal Diet and I like that it still has the ratios but is a bit more flexible in the types of carbs offered. You might want to cut that out for a while and see how you feel. Also I have to be careful of raw garlic; I eat only small amounts, as larger amounts often provoke headaches. I'm still around now, but will be going soon to pack for my trip. I do not have an article for oil pulling, +++Oil pulling or oil swishing, in alternative medicine, is a traditional Indian folk remedy that involves swishing oil in the mouth for claimed oral and other health benefits, which they claim helps detoxification. Here's the best Oil Pulling instructions, by Bruce Fife considered the expert on coconut oil: http://www.coconutresearchcenter.org/article%20oil%20pulling.htm > > > > Another question is once I have overcome the candida overgrowth in my body, will I eventually be able to eat in moderation some of the foods that I have eliminated now?
