Guest guest Posted March 12, 2010 Report Share Posted March 12, 2010 I take the cod liver oil Fall/Winter/Spring. In the summer, I do not take it as I get SO much sun. I am at the beach every day with the kids from 10-2pm. Sometimes I go back again. We live right by the beach. I increase my exposure gradually but do not use sunscreen on any of us. We have not burned, despite being on the fair side, though not extremely fair. I do not wash off/bathe until late at night and do not use soap on the areas that got sun. I think to take cod liver oil in addition to this would not be good for me. There is such a thing as too much vitamin D, at least Mercola says so and he advises regular checking of vitamin D levels.
